General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, January 5 Update – Maxie’s Lulu Realization – Harmony’s Risky Move Brings Drama

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, January 5, teases that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have a heartbreaking Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) realization while Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) makes a risky move that brings drama.

At Charlie’s Pub, Maxie will be sitting with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) when Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) walks over looking glum.

Robert will have some dreadful news to deliver, so that should involve Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) recent cable car death in Austria.

This will be tough for everyone at the table to wrap their head around, but Maxie’s mind should drift to Lulu almost right away.

Like Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Maxie should worry about how Lulu’s going to take this difficult blow once she’s awake. She’ll know the loss of Lulu’s father is going to hit hard.

Of course, there’s no change in Lulu’s condition at the moment, so it’s not exactly a pressing concern.

Besides, things probably aren’t as they seem since all this “freak accident” business seems a little too staged.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) spoke of Luke being neutralized, but that doesn’t mean he’s truly dead!

It may just mean everyone believes Luke is gone for good when he’s actually in captivity.

Then again, there could be another explanation for Luke’s survival, but the point is something fishy is going on here.

As for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he’ll interrogate Victor about his visit to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) room and wonder what the two of them discussed.

Victor’s lips may be sealed when it comes to anything specific, but he’ll envision a day when Valentin trusts him enough to become an ally.

Victor may think they can conquer the world as a father-son duo, but Valentin won’t share the same view.

Even so, Victor will remind Valentin to never say never and will genuinely hope for a brighter future.

Speaking of the future, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will talk to Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) about some action she might potentially take.

Austin will support the idea wholeheartedly, so this might involve steering clear of Peter or taking another approach entirely by standing her ground with him.

Britt might even consider what the future holds in terms of her love life. There’s certainly a chance for love to bloom between Britt and Austin if they keep sharing scenes like this.

As for Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) future, she’ll have to figure out whether she wants to accept Shawn Butler’s (Sean Blakemore) job offer.

Shawn will explain why he wants Alexis to join his team before Sam gets updates.

Despite Alexis’ fears about not being up for the challenge, Sam will have nothing but confidence in her mother.

Sam will think Alexis will really enjoy exposing unfair treatment through coverage at The Invader.

Alexis will hopefully agree to be Shawn’s right-hand woman and push his vision for The Invader to the next level.

Back with Anna and Felicia, they’ll agree Maxie seems to be under a lot of pressure.

Felicia and Anna talked about kicking their plan to find Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) into high gear, so they may revisit that conversation on Wednesday.

What Anna and Felicia won’t realize is that they’re making the pressure even worse! Maxie knows everyone means well, but she wishes they’d chill out on the Louise search party.

GH fans know Maxie and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) cooked up a scheme to keep Louise safe, so she’s living as “Bailey Quartermaine” at the Quartermaine mansion.

Brook Lynn is now facing Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) questions about this child who doesn’t belong to her.

Tracy knows Brook Lynn was never expecting a baby, so she’ll expect the truth from BLQ on Wednesday’s show.

Brook Lynn won’t want to spill too much, but Tracy will doubt whatever story she tries to offer.

Perhaps Brook Lynn will insist she’s helping out a friend in need and urge Tracy to drop the matter.

Tracy may assume Brook Lynn still has some selfish motive, but she’ll probably be too tired from her trip and all the grief she’s endured to care all that much – at least right now.

Nevertheless, both Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are going to deal with plenty of Tracy issues now that she’s back in town.

In the meantime, Harmony will pay Willow a visit and make a suggestion she hopes her daughter will approve of.

General Hospital spoilers say Willow will take a trip overseas in 2022, so Harmony might have some destination in mind for a mother-daughter getaway. I

t might even be some city that Willow wanted to visit when she was a little girl.

Harmony is trying to make up for lost time and form a true bond with Willow again.

Unfortunately, Harmony may incur Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) wrath in the process.

Michael may feel like Harmony wants to buy Willow’s love or wipe away all her Dawn of Day sins with this move.

Willow will be receptive to Harmony’s efforts to reach out, but there could be some grandma trouble on the horizon.

Michael will seemingly ask Harmony how something is any of her business, so she might fish for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) answers and go too far in Michael’s eyes.

Michael may not think Harmony is on some lofty pedestal above Nina under the circumstances!

No matter how all this plays out, there’ll be some hostility between Michael and Willow as a result.

All the friction in Willow and Michael’s relationship could be a bad sign of things to come!

Finally, Peter will summon someone and try to hire this person as his new attorney.

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) would surely never take Peter’s case and has wrapped up his latest arc anyway. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), on the other hand, might do it for the right price!

GH spoilers say Peter will hope to nail down legal representation, but an escape plot is certainly his endgame.
