General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Delays Chemo to Avoid Miscarriage – Risks Cancer Spread to Save Baby

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will likely delay her chemo to avoid a miscarriage, which means risking a cancer spread to save her baby. This will be a huge decision, but it seems like the only one Willow can make under the circumstances.

During the week of August 22-26, Willow will meet with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to discuss her options. Unfortunately, Willow will remain stuck in a lose-lose situation.

Britt and Terry’s priority will be Willow’s health, so they’ll think she should begin treatment right away.

However, Willow is still in her first trimester – and that means moving full-speed ahead with chemotherapy could put her unborn child at greater risk.

Willow already lost one baby, so she certainly won’t want to lose another.

That’s just not something Willow could handle, so she’ll wonder about option number two.

Unfortunately, that option will come with its own set of risks. Delaying the treatment would give the baby a better shot at surviving, but Willow’s cancer could spread.

That could put Willow’s own life in jeopardy and make it so she’s potentially not around to be a mother to this child or the one she’s already raising.

Willow has to think of her family with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver), too.

Nevertheless, GH has always painted Willow as a selfless mom.

Whether Willow was going up against Shiloh Archer (Cody Ryan McLaughlin) in court or entering a quickie marriage for a custody battle, so many of Willow’s decisions have been driven by maternal instinct.

It would be completely out of character for Willow to suddenly value her own life above her baby’s.

Despite the gamble she’ll be taking with her own health, it’s just tough to imagine any scenario where Willow moves ahead with the treatment knowing it could cause a miscarriage.

Willow seems poised to go against Terry and Britt’s medical advice, which may upset Michael.

This could cause some conflict if Michael feels Willow should prioritize her own health and make sure she can survive this leukemia battle.

Willow will still hope to beat this cancer, but she may wait until she’s further along in her pregnancy to start chemotherapy.

It’ll mean rolling the dice in some ways, but Willow may feel she has no other choice.

General Hospital spoilers say Willow’s pregnancy and leukemia drama will bring some gripping moments, so stay tuned.
