In tonight’s MBFFL episode, things heated up on vacation. Here’s a little reminder of everything that went down: Whitney went to St. Lucia with some friends and family. She got very hands-on with her ex-boyfriend. They were sharing a bad. They were cuddling. They were getting a little too friendly for someone that already has an entanglement. Whitney has her French guy. She’s been wavering between the two men back and forth, but it got real when Lennie refused to dance with her and he chose to dance with another woman. Whitney didn’t like seeing it. She even threatened the other woman in her confessional last week and so she wasn’t quite as happy with Lennie with how open things are.
Suddenly, Whitney is not fine with their just having a fun policy. She now says she doesn’t want to explore things with another person unless she’s sure the feelings are there and that the relationship has potential. Whitney told her group that she’s had enough bad sex in her life that she didn’t want to go headlong into another situation like that. Lenny agreed with her. He said he’s had bad sex with partners as well. Everyone laughed because the two exes said that and so the two were asked if they had bad sex together only Lennie said he can’t remember. Lennie kinda blocked that out. He was drinking in those days and he might very well be telling the truth on that front.
But that wasn’t what Whitney wanted to hear. Whitney continued to cuddle up with Lennie as much as she could and her friends noticed something that looked very much like a hickey on her neck. Whitney tried to claim it was sunspots. She also said that her neck isn’t wear Lennie normally puts a hickey on her for those who were wondering. While she was with the group, the woman that Lennie danced with was brought up. Lennie has been in contact with the woman. Her name is Hilda. She’s very attractive and she’s the reason that Lennie would miss the banana boat ride later on. The group tried to wait for him. He never showed and so they went without him.
The banana boat ride started off slow. It quickly gained speed and it triggered Whitney’s motion sickness. She thought she would be fine, but she was vomiting over the side of the boat before you knew it and so the boat returned to land. Whitney began to feel much better in the shallow water than she did on the boat. She and the others were relaxing in loungers when they noticed Lennie. Lennie was still with Hilda. The two were very touchy with each other and no one knew if he was seriously into this woman or if he was flaunting a possible relationship in front of Whitney to make her jealous.
It was suspicious that he would take his date to the beach around the same time he knew the crew would be there. Only he never turned to look at them or even seem to acknowledge that they were there. He was solely focused on Hilda. Hilda was asking about his life. He was asking her about hers. It was all the basics. The most the two did was walk around. Lennie also seemed surprised when Jess told him that they saw him with Hilda. He said he didn’t see them. He was also asked if he still has feelings for Whitney and he wouldn’t give a clear answer. He said she has the French guy. And that was that.
Whitney for her part wasn’t even thinking about Lennie with Hilda. She had called her mom with her brother at her side and the two of them checked in with her home. This trip was their last hurrah together before Hunter moves away. He was moving to Atlanta. He felt horrible about leaving Whitney with their two elderly parents, but he has to move for work. It should also be noted that there never was going to be a good time to move. Babs was only going to get sicker. Both of their parents were and so Hunter has to continue with his life. The move couldn’t have come at the worst time though.
Whitney and Hunter have never been closer than they were on this trip. Hunter even tried to warn her not to get jealous of Lennie with other people. But Whitney ignored that advice to ask Lennie about Hilda later on at dinner. Lennie confirmed he was just talking to Hilda. Nothing else happened and Whitney was asked about the French guy. She knows it’s going to be hard keeping things as it is. She doesn’t see a change happening yet she also doesn’t want to end things. She told the group that she really loves her French man and she even teared up a little when she said that. Whitney also doesn’t like Lennie spending time with Hilda. She got very jealous about that because she wanted to go out on their last night on the island and Lennie said he was busy.
Lennie had plans with Hilda. Which unsettled Whitney. Whitney would go on to pull Lennie aside and she told him that she does care about Frenchie, but she also wants to explore her feelings with Lennie. The two of them kissed. And they tabled the bigger conversation for when they went back home.
