Something went wrong with the prisoner exchange. No sooner did the Americans get their hands on Commander Kelley than he began seizing and dying on board a plane heading back to Hawaii. But why kill him? He was a part of a prisoner exchange and the exchange could only have happened if both sides agreed to peace. So, was there someone out there wanting to ruin the peace? They killed Commander Kelley. Kelley was fine on the ground and he wasn’t in distress until they got on the plane. Could it be that someone on board the American plane was the one responsible for Kelley’s murder?

Everyone on the plane was questioned. They had all been vetted for this secret mission beforehand yet they couldn’t be trusted because there were people like Maggie who had clearance and were selling them out to foreign powers. Everyone got questioned again and again. Special Agent Tennant and her team couldn’t find a single piece of evidence against the crew. Their best bet was the doctor that was down on the tarmac with them. Before he boarded the flight, Kelley was checked by a doctor who gave him the all-clear and who gave him something to carry with him. The team suspected that’s how the nerve agent was introduced into Kelley’s system.

Only the doctor wasn’t in Hawaii. He was back in Manila. Tennant and Milius took a naval vessel to Manila and they grabbed the doctor, off the street. The doctor tried to deny all part in the murders. But the team looked into him. He does have Russian ties. He was also speaking to someone on the dark web. The team was doing their best to get their hands on whoever the doctor was conspiring with. The team looked into it. They later found the woman that was involved. Just not in the way they thought because she was after the same person they were. But their suspect managed to escape on a boat before they could stop him. And unfortunately, he was very dangerous.

His name was Alexi Babin. He was guilty of selling weapons in the far east all under the guise of doing this for the Russian government, but the truth is he was carrying out a false flag mission and the only reason for that is that someone had planned something. Something big. Something they wanted to blame on Russia when it all came out. But Russia is smart. They would never make such crucial mistakes as Babin did by laying out the path and so Tennant and her team realized that an event was about to take place. They put the island on high alert. They spoke with the local Russian agent on the ground. Her name was Alina. Alina also tried to stop Babin from making his escape.

Alina has been trying to get him for months. She was FSB. She was a secret Russian spy that was technically operating on American soil and so Tennant had her detained. She later tried to question Alina, but Alina was too afraid of Russia to betray them and so she was staying quiet. The team tried to track down Babin another way. They looked for a landing spot after he left the boat. They followed his signature into a house that was rigged to blow. They actually had to call in the bomb squad to diffuse the bomb. The guy who diffused the bomb was nicknamed “Boom Boom”. And he made things safe for the team.

But that hadn’t been the only bomb in play. There had been a second bomb. A more dangerous second bomb and that bomb were planted in the same building where a peace conference was being held. Babin put the bomb there. He was found fleeing the scene and he was shot and killed, but Alina broke after being questioned by Whistler. Whistler used her own life experience to get through to her and it worked. Alina revealed sensitive information about Babin. This included who hired him. It hadn’t been some Russian agent who was set on destroying the southeast. It had been someone at the peace conference.

It turns out he claimed he was after peace when the whole time he had been smuggling guns and ammunition into Southeast Asia. He also wanted to blame Russia for it if the plan didn’t work out. The man was set on violence and chaos, but he was ultimately stopped and arrested. Tennant meanwhile talked to Milius afterward. They were at different places in their lives. He was traveling for work. She had to stay where she was because of her job and her kids. And they’ve decided that Milius is always welcomed when he comes to the island.

But Whistler realized she was still in love with Lucy. She got advice from Ernie that she should do a grand gesture and so that’s what she did. She started singing in front of everyone to Lucy. And Lucy loved it so much that he agreed to take Whistler back.

And later Kai introduced everyone to his dad.
