In tonight’s Sister Wives episode, Kody is driving through Texas. He is headed to a buddies wedding. He is thinking a lot on his drive, mainly about his divorce. Janelle is annoyed he is doing this after all of his strict rules about covid. Christine also thinks this is ridiculous. Kody thinks Janelle is just stirring trouble because the family has had time to get together safely and they have chosen not to.
Christine talks to Truly about the divorce. She shares she was really upset at first but now she sees what was happening with Christine being unhappy and how things wont be very different. She also reached out to grandma and Aspen. She spoke with them which was helpful. Truly also shares that Kody didn’t say anything about the divorce, just confirmed that she knew it would be happening. Kody is surprised Truly isn’t upset. She seems to be fine and it is also upsetting they are moving and he cannot get them to stay.
Kody makes the entire drive and doesn’t come up with anything to say at the wedding as he is going to officiate. He spent the entire time instead stewing over his divorce. Christine finds it interesting he is officiating as one of his own marriages has failed.
Kody drives up to his friend’s ranch. He meets up with Brian. Meanwhile, Janelle knows Kody is unsure about all of this since he is divorcing. He also told Robyn he wonders if Brian is making a mistake getting married. Robyn thinks this is a bad thought.
Kody pulls off officiating the wedding. He dances and has fun after. Meanwhile, Christine becomes enraged when Ysabel points out that Kody didn’t come to her surgery but he officiated a friends wedding in another state. Christine agrees this is bad while Kody defends himself to the cameras, saying that Christine wants to make him a villain so she can feel better.
Kody comes to help Janelle level her RV. Gabe is there. He was auto leveling the RV but Kody is annoyed. Gabe doesn’t know what he is doing. Gabe is annoyed with Kody. They have been fighting since Covid and things have never been the same since Covid.
They work to fix the RV but all get annoyed with one another because it isn’t working. Janelle thinks this is a nightmare. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Later, Kody meets with Christine. They discuss renting or selling her house. He wants his down payment back. She has paid all of the mortgage payments and plans to take the proceeds.
They then get into a child custody agreement. She doesn’t want one. He wants one but not created in Utah. He hates Utah. They left Utah in 2010 under distress. He doesn’t say much. He leaves. Christine doesn’t want to lawyer up but if Kody is, she will.
