In tonight’s Station 19 episode, since Montgomery was confronted by Theo, he’s been acting indifferent towards his boyfriend Emmett. Emmett is a good guy. He’s just not Michael. Montgomery loved his late husband. He doesn’t seem to love Emmett. He’s been avoiding the conversation and asking Vic to do things with them so that he can avoid having to be alone with Emmett. It was awkward.

All three could tell what he was doing and the only reason Vic didn’t confront him to get answers was because she recognized he needed time. Vic went through something similar. The difference between her and Montgomery is that Vic eventually had that conversation with Theo.

Vic told her boyfriend she was pregnant. She told him that she wanted an abortion. He didn’t try to fight her and he wanted to fully support her. He went with her to the hospital. Vic agreed to take a pill to help her abort because she didn’t want to wait until she was further along for the surgical procedure, but telling Theo about the abortion didn’t just magically fix their problems. They still have problems. She keeps pushing him away. She even tried to do so with her abortion and Theo later talked to her about it. He was having enough with being whittled down. He wants someone who will talk to him.

Only Vic doesn’t want to talk. She knows that if she does she’ll mention Miller. Miller’s last words to her was him asking her to leave town with him and she turned him down. She did because she didn’t love him in that sense. She was in love with Theo. She now blames herself as well as a little bit Theo for hurting her friend as the last thing they did together before Mille’s death. Its why she’s been sabotaging everything since Miller died. She self-sabotages by almost killing herself by jumping into a freezing ocean. She’s sabotaging her relationship with Theo by refusing to talk to him about the problem. She also kissed Jack on top of it all.

Then there was what she did at work. She risked Millers’ program by acting out and Jack told her off. He said she wasn’t allowed to mess that along with the rest of her life. But after Theo confronted her, she talked. She mentioned how she was scared to have an abortion. She was worried about how she would feel afterwards. Her opening up had probably saved her relationship because it got Theo to open up as well. Theo brought up his mother. His mother had an abortion after his father died because she was a mess back then and she knew she couldn’t add a child to it. It had been a problem with her family, though.

The whole family is Catholic. They told Theo’s mother that they could help her with the baby and that she should see it as a blessing and she still went ahead with the abortion because it was the right thing for her. The family stopped talking to her for a while. Not that Theo let it bother them because he did his best to be there for his mother. Like he was doing his best to be there for Vic. Vic’s abortion hadn’t been like a heavy period that Carina said it would be. It was painful. She was glued to a toilet for most of it. And Theo did his best to care for her even if it included sometimes singing just because she asked him to.

As this was happening, Montgomery responded to an emergency call that turned out to be a problem for Crisis One. His boyfriend was called in. They were both talking to a man who wanted to kill himself after his wife left him. The couple had been married for twenty-five years until the wife suddenly said she couldn’t do “this” anymore. The husband didn’t understand the sudden change. He hadn’t realized she fell out of love with him and so Montgomery was able to reach him saying the same thing is happening with him. He fell out of love with his current boyfriend. He didn’t have the courage to tell the guy and so that was on him.

Montgomery’s story touched the man. It just didn’t stop him from dropping the lighter to set himself on fire and so the guy was later rushed to the hospital with burns and Montgomery ended up hurting Emmett in a very public setting. He was a little bit of a bad guy for doing that. Even if it got the conversation and now Emmett can move on. What happened with those two was very public and what’s happening between Sullivan and Beckett was not. Beckett spotted Sullivan on a date with their new chief. He toyed with Sullivan afterwards with the threat of making it public. And Sullivan hit back by threatening to out Beck’s drinking.

The two men were going to keep each other’s secrets under the threat of mutually assured destruction.

Also, Vic finally finished the procedure to rid herself of unwanted pregnancy and she grieved. She grieved for everyone she lost. She also finally apologized to Theo for pushing him. He’s a good guy who loves her.

THE END!
