The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, January 21, reveals that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) cried to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) while Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) defended Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) in her story to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
At Brooke’s house on Friday’s B&B episode, Hope pushed to find out what Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) was talking about.
Brooke admitted that after everybody left on New Year’s Eve, Deacon came back for his phone. She explained that Deacon stayed since she was disappointed over Ridge’s call.
Hope demanded to know if Deacon got Brooke to drink. She thought something obviously happened to make Brooke upset since she wouldn’t let Deacon come around anymore.
Hope wanted to know exactly what her dad did, but Brooke rushed to Deacon’s defense.
Brooke pointed out that Deacon actually tried to stop her from drinking and added that she asked him to join her.
Hope felt like there was more to the story, so Brooke mentioned what Douglas saw.
“You were kissing my father,” Hope confirmed. She encouraged Brooke to tell her exactly what happened that night, so Brooke walked Hope through the story of how she wound up drinking vodka with Deacon.
Hope wished Deacon had stopped Brooke, but Brooke insisted that she wouldn’t let him.
Brooke noted that they had some tipsy fun at first, so Deacon put on that Santa hat from Christmas.
Brooke told Hope that she was reminiscing with Deacon and feeling close to him again, so they kissed.
Hope was glad Douglas didn’t realize who Brooke was actually kissing that night.
Hope couldn’t imagine the guilt Brooke was feeling, but she wanted Brooke to go easy on herself and try to be forgiving.
Hope brushed off the kiss as something that happened on New Year’s Eve while drunk – just a moment between two people who used to be close.
However, Brooke ultimately admitted that Deacon slept over. She clarified that Deacon put her to bed and slept on top of the covers, but she knew Ridge could never get past all this.
Brooke was sure Taylor and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) were just waiting for something to happen so that they could pull Ridge back into their family.
If Ridge knew what happened, Brooke felt certain she would lose him forever!
At Forrester Creations, Taylor found Steffy and Ridge laughing over some interview he’d done.
Nothing could make Taylor happier than seeing Ridge and Steffy working together like this. When Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) joined them, it only added to the “Tridge” family love fest.
Steffy thought they could keep the party going if they all had dinner together later. She grew frustrated when Ridge said he’d have to check his schedule.
Steffy acted like it was ridiculous since Brooke could surely survive without Ridge for one night.
Ridge shut down any Brooke talk before Steffy dragged Thomas off to a meeting. Taylor called Steffy the “queen of subtle” since she was obviously giving her parents some alone time.
Although Taylor knew Ridge said he didn’t want to discuss Brooke, she noted that she was a good listener.
Ridge voiced his appreciation and thanked Taylor for coming home.
That led to a conversation about why Taylor stayed away for so long, so she admitted there were a lot of complicated reasons.
Taylor said the main one was Brooke and knowing that Ridge had made a life with her.
Taylor couldn’t help but wonder what might’ve been if she’d been able to stay married to Ridge.
Taylor teared up over the memories they could’ve made and the life they almost had. Ridge ended up pulling Taylor into a warm embrace in a powerful moment.
At Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) loft, he stared at Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) after their kiss.
Paris said that was unexpected, but Carter wondered if it really was. They agreed that this had been building for a while and were OK with what was happening between them.
After Paris and Carter confirmed that they were on the same page, they started making out again. As other B&B news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you in the loop.
