The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, May 20, teases that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) got the last laugh with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) – and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) was floored over Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) shooter.
At Forrester Creations, Eric Forrester (John McCook) assured Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that his house would always be Ridge’s, too. Eric didn’t want Ridge to blame himself when he couldn’t have known about Sheila’s role in Brooke falling off the wagon.
After Eric left for a meeting, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) arrived and told Ridge he was missed at the cliff house. However, Taylor thought it was good for Ridge to get some space and sort things out.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was with Steffy telling Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) about John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) death, so Taylor told Ridge about that.
After talk turned to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and the secret he kept with Sheila, Thomas walked in. That led to Thomas getting updates on Sheila being Steffy’s shooter.
Thomas also found out that Steffy went to Il Giardino to confront Sheila after overhearing him on the phone. When Thomas realized Steffy was in the alley because of his secret, he was so sorry.
Ridge flew into a rage and thought he deserved to know about Sheila sabotaging Brooke’s sobriety, but Thomas knew his dad would’ve gone right back to Brooke. Even so, Ridge felt that wasn’t Thomas’ call to make. Like it or not, Ridge pointed out that Brooke was his wife.
Thomas couldn’t believe that stupid secret was the reason Steffy got shot along with Finn. Taylor insisted that Sheila pulled the trigger, but Thomas countered that he was why Steffy and Finn were there.
Ridge knew Sheila was to blame, but he still felt that Thomas should’ve told the truth instead of letting him watch Brooke suffer.
At home, Brooke was eager to visit the jail, look Sheila in the eye and confront her for all her crimes. Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) warned her mom to be careful before Brooke took off.
Meanwhile, Deacon showed up and was floored to learn the Sheila shooter details from Hope. After Hope revealed the Champagne label swap, Deacon felt like such an idiot for letting Sheila fool him.
Although Deacon assumed this changed everything for Ridge and Brooke, Hope admitted that Ridge wasn’t ready to come home yet. Deacon felt confident that was because of Taylor and wondered why Ridge wasn’t fighting for his marriage.
“Why doesn’t he know how lucky he is to have Brooke’s love?” Deacon asked on Friday’s B&B episode.
At the police station, Sheila was cuffed to the table in the interrogation room and refused to answer any questions without her lawyer. Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) assured Sheila that the DA had more than enough to take her down.
After Baker mentioned a visitor who wanted to see justice served, Brooke appeared and caught Sheila off guard. Once Brooke ranted about Sheila making Steffy a widow and tearing apart her family, Sheila assumed this was really about what she did to Brooke.
Sheila felt like Brooke wanted her to feel sorry for her and called her pathetic. Brooke denied that and just wanted Sheila to pay for everything she did. Although Sheila was haunted by that night in the alley and would change it if she could, she’d never apologize for what she did to Brooke.
Sheila would rather go back to her cell than listen to Brooke’s tirade, but Brooke stopped the guard and said they weren’t done yet. After Brooke insisted Sheila would regret her actions, she said she came to look Sheila in the eyes and tell her she’d never terrorize any of them ever again.
Brooke added that Sheila didn’t belong in society with good, normal people. Once Brooke said Sheila should be in prison for the rest of her life, Sheila tried to lunge at her and was held back by her handcuffs.
Brooke told the guard that they were done now, but Sheila said she already warned Brooke to never threaten her. As Sheila was being led away, she insisted that Brooke, Ridge and Steffy hadn’t seen the last of her. Sheila vowed to be back and let out a sinister laugh, so Brooke looked unsettled.
