The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 11, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was supposedly mauled to death by a bear, so her middle toe and hair served as DNA proof.
At the cliff house, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) canoodled before Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) arrived.
After Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) got a call from Detective Alex Sanchez (Jeremy Ray Valdez), she called Steffy about the meeting regarding the Sheila investigation. Finn and Li joined Steffy as they headed to Forrester Creations.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was still on his way, but Brooke gathered with Eric Forrester (John McCook), Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), Li, Steffy and Finn. Detective Sanchez moved ahead with his Sheila updates and revealed that she managed to leave Los Angeles.
The cops obtained security footage from a convenience store and later found an abandoned car with Sheila’s fingerprints on it. From there, Sheila was traced to a campsite in the Sierras – and the scene they found there was a chilling one.
Detective Sanchez passed around horrific photos that revealed what was left of Sheila following a bear attack. Sheila’s ID was found along with some of her hair and remnants of blood-stained clothing.
There were some doubters around the office, but Detective Sanchez insisted there was indisputable evidence that Sheila was mauled to death by a bear. To confirm that, Detective Sanchez held up a container that had Sheila’s bloody middle toe inside.
Steffy asked if Finn was OK, so he admitted he was in shock. Although Finn hated to think of his birth mom being gone in such a vicious way, he was relieved that they no longer had to worry about Sheila.
Taylor also breathed a sigh of relief over this nightmare finally being over. Eric agreed before B&B played some highlights of wild Sheila moments over the years. Detective Sanchez reiterated that Sheila was dead and gone forever this time.
At the cabin, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) arrived while Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) and Beth Spencer (River Davidson) were playing on the tennis court. Thomas caught up with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) before the kids ultimately came inside.
While Thomas and Douglas went back out to play baseball, Liam talked to Hope about how she’d stepped up for Douglas after Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death. Hope gushed that Douglas meant the world to her and didn’t know what she’d do without him.
Once Douglas came back inside with Thomas, he wished he could be with his dad more. Douglas wondered if Thomas missed him when they weren’t together, so Thomas confirmed that of course he did.
After Thomas reassured Douglas about how much he loved him, Douglas went in the other room to finish his summer reading. Thomas thanked Hope for creating a wonderful home for Douglas, but he worried that his son felt overlooked.
Since Thomas had already been thinking about this anyway, he mentioned that he’d asked Eric if he could move in. Thomas wanted Douglas to move in the Forrester mansion as well – that way, they could be together as father and son.
Although Thomas said Hope could see Douglas whenever she wanted, Hope was visibly rattled. Since Douglas might overhear, Hope told Thomas they should table the discussion for now. Thomas didn’t want to upset Douglas, so he told Hope to pass along a goodbye message.
Once Thomas left, he paused outside and insisted he’d be much more involved in Douglas’ life. Thomas vowed that Douglas would never doubt how much his dad loved him.
Meanwhile, Hope reeled and wondered if Liam could believe what Thomas was asking. Douglas then reappeared and seemed disappointed that Thomas had left so soon.
