The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 4, reveals that Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) daddy demands took a toll while Eric Forrester (John McCook) feared Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) devastation.
At the cliff house on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) confessed that she wasn’t OK and cried over a monster robbing her of a future with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Liam understood that Steffy wanted to be strong for the kids, but he didn’t think she had to be a robot or hide her grief.
When Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) appeared with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and a bag of breakfast food, she thanked Liam for staying the night.
Taylor insisted that Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) was going to need her dad like never before. She sensed that Steffy felt the same way.
At the cabin, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) warned Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) not to listen to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Brooke felt that Thomas was trying to make Hope question Liam and the strength of her marriage.
Hope assured Brooke that she wouldn’t do that, but she acknowledged that she didn’t like Liam spending the night at Steffy’s place.
That said, Hope knew Liam couldn’t say no to Kelly. Brooke argued that Liam apparently couldn’t say no to Steffy either!
After Liam came home with an apology, Brooke reminded him that his focus should be on his home.
Brooke told Liam that Hope, Beth Spencer (River Davidson) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) needed him, too.
Hope pointed out that Kelly could come stay the night with them sometimes, but Liam felt that Kelly should be with her mom right now.
As for how much time Liam needed to spend over there, he wasn’t sure. Liam felt they’d have to see how it all played out.
Talk turned to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), so Liam admitted they were really pulling together as a family for Steffy.
After Taylor sent Steffy off to rest, she shared a warm moment with Ridge as they expressed their gratitude for each other.
Taylor knew Steffy had more struggles ahead, but Ridge said they’d be there for her.
Once Ridge pulled Taylor into a warm embrace, they shared a passionate kiss and looked at each other intensely.
Meanwhile, Brooke returned to her house and gazed at a framed “Bridge” photo. She begged Ridge to come home and looked lonely on her own.
At Forrester Creations, Quinn confessed to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that she missed spending time with Eric and being the thing that excited him.
Carter and Quinn were also pleased that they could still have a friendship at this point.
Quinn insisted that she never had to play a part with Carter, who showed her what she deserved and had to offer.
After Quinn reflected on being out of sync with Eric, she decided she needed to be patient and stay positive.
Quinn felt she should have complete faith in her marriage and in Eric’s commitment.
Once Quinn said she didn’t want to cross any lines, she added that Eric would never have to worry about that again.
Quinn wanted to be as faithful to Eric as he’d been to her.
In bed elsewhere, Eric gushed over the way Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) looked at him.
They made each other feel lighter despite the fact that Eric was a married man.
Eric insisted that Donna made him so happy – happier than he thought he had a right to be.
Donna argued that everyone had a right to feel joy and was glad to be the person who gave that to Eric.
While they were getting dressed, Eric seemed distracted. He admitted that if Quinn knew what was going on, it would devastate her.
Eric said he cared about Quinn, so Donna thought he had the biggest heart and wasn’t jealous as long as she got to share.
After Eric praised Donna for giving him exactly what he needed, she declared that he’d always be the great love of her life.
Donna kissed Eric and wanted to treasure every moment with her “honey bear.”
