The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 21, reveals that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) demanded that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) control Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) also trashed insecure Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), so here’s how all the B&B drama went down.
At home, Brooke left Ridge a voicemail saying she was sorry she missed him last night and again this morning.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) overheard and ultimately found out Steffy derailed Brooke’s romantic evening.
Brooke didn’t get to have her special time with Ridge since Steffy made sure he came home too late for it to happen.
Hope wanted details, so Brooke explained how Steffy answered Ridge’s phone and claimed he didn’t want to be disturbed.
Brooke said when she reminded Steffy that she was Ridge’s wife, Steffy replied that Brooke wouldn’t be for long.
Hope was appalled when she learned Steffy hung up on Brooke, who was already asleep when Ridge returned home.
Since Ridge had an early conference call, Hope assumed Ridge had no idea what Steffy had done.
After Hope ranted about Taylor and Steffy going too far, she vowed to talk to Steffy while Brooke talked to Taylor.
At the cliff house, Steffy praised a design that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) collaborated on.
There was plenty of talk about the Forresters being in a good place.
Steffy felt that if they could just get Ridge and Taylor back together, then everything would be great.
Taylor warned Steffy not to recruit Zende in her reunion quest, so Zende sensed they had some things to discuss and took off.
After Thomas and Steffy made another pitch for their mom to be with Ridge, Taylor tried to steer them away from their mission.
Steffy and Thomas were relentless, but they knew Taylor loved them anyway.
Once Steffy left for the office, Thomas was on his way out when Brooke arrived to see Taylor.
Brooke declared that Taylor’s daughter was out of control – and she expected her to put a stop to Steffy!
After Brooke insisted that Steffy wasn’t a kid, she added that Steffy was a grown woman who needed to focus on her own family.
Brooke refused to put up with Steffy blatantly trying to interfere in her marriage.
Taylor found out that Ridge didn’t come home in time for their special night together, so she argued that Brooke had all day to coordinate with him.
Since Brooke didn’t get in touch with Ridge, Taylor didn’t think she could blame Steffy.
Brooke explained how Steffy answered Ridge’s phone and refused to put him on, but Taylor said she didn’t want to believe that. That led to Brooke urging Taylor to ask Steffy herself.
Brooke insisted that Steffy was playing gatekeeper and wanted her marriage to fall apart so that Taylor could have her chance with Ridge.
After Hope cornered Steffy at Forrester Creations, she called her out for deliberately trying to sabotage Brooke’s marriage.
Steffy acted like Hope was overreacting and noted that Brooke’s phone call didn’t involve an emergency.
Hope still felt that actively interfering in Brooke and Ridge’s marriage was going too far, but Steffy said this was about a future that was stolen from her parents.
Steffy’s grandmother wasn’t around to fight the battle anymore, but she was still there and would fight for Ridge to come back to his real family – the Forresters.
Since Bill had summoned Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) to Il Giardino, his sons were suspicious.
However, Bill said he just wanted to have lunch with his boys and take a break from business.
Talk turned to Ridge walking in on Brooke and Bill in each other’s arms, so Wyatt flipped out over the news.
Bill insisted Liam was exaggerating and that Ridge just made something out of nothing because he was insecure.
Liam suggested that any amount of proximity – especially in Ridge’s own home – might be triggering to him.
Bill just couldn’t understand why Brooke put up with “Poser the clown” and invited Liam to reveal what Brooke saw in her husband.
Liam admitted that living close allowed him to see a looser side of Ridge – and the connection Ridge had with Brooke was pretty undeniable.
The conversation shifted to Thomas, who was holding Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) hostage according to Liam.
After Liam ranted about Thomas’ behavior, he worried that he was getting into Hope’s head.
Hope also had to deal with all the disparaging Brooke comments and watch Taylor cozy up to Ridge when she visited the Forrester mansion.
Liam knew Hope was unsure of how much to tell Brooke since she didn’t want to make the situation even worse.
Bill argued that nobody had to coddle Brooke, who was a fighter and wouldn’t let anyone undermine her marriage.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Brooke will indeed keep fighting for her future with Ridge, so stay tuned!
