Tonight’s The Good Doctor episode begins with Lea, the alarm rings at 4:30 am and she hits the snooze multiple times – Shaun gets annoyed and gets up. When Lea does get up, she slept in and he says he turned it off he was annoyed. He made her coffee, decaf so it doesn’t interfere with her sleep.

Marcus is in emergency, Morgan introduces him to the patient, Kevin, who is with Sarah who runs Golden Compassion Boys Home. Kevin says he fell, Morgan says he was in a fight. Kevin sarcastically calls Marcus Carlton and won’t let him examine him. But when Marcus promises to do the Carlton for him, Kevin lifts his shirt. Marcus draws the curtain so Morgan can’t see and he does it, hilariously.

Jordan wants Lea to get an endorsement on the product they are working on.

Kevin has three fractured ribs and they’ve been broken before.

Audrey and Shaun are with a patient, Joan, and Audrey tells her that she needs to replace her aorta valve. The procedure takes two and half hours and they will do it in the afternoon. Her niece Sophie is there to support her. All of a sudden, in the chamber that June is in, the motor gives out.

Jordan and Lea go to Aaron for the endorsement, he asks what if he partners with them. Lea thinks it is amazing, he wants a business plan. Jordan is not thrilled about having a partner, she just wanted an endorsement.

Lea is there to help, she says the fan belt is faulty and that is why the chamber stopped.

Marcus tells Kevin that he needs reconstructive surgery on his face and ribs, three are broken and displaced. Marcus asks him who is doing this to him. He knows that he has a broken rib before that didn’t heal properly. He can’t protect him if he doesn’t know who did this to him.

Joan is on a ventilator, while Lea fixed the chamber, temporarily, it dies again. She knows how to fix it but needs parts that have not been manufactured since the fifties.

Marcus checks Kevin’s heart to see if it is well enough for surgery. Great news, his heart is fine. Kevin has a book of images from an artist and Marcus asks to see it, he tells him it’s amazing. Marcus says he saw in his medical records that he is dyslexic and some of the greatest people have been dyslexic. Marcus tells him that he wants to help him, if the group home is unsafe, but Kevin won’t talk.

Lea gets a gearbox from a Chevy to fix the chamber for Joan.

Joan is not doing well, she has a bronchial rupture, he rushes her into surgery. In the ER, Shuan tells Audrey that Sophie offered to pay for his wedding with Lea if they would appear on a reality show she is producing.

At home, Lea tells Shaun that she enjoyed working with him. Shaun asks her if they a reality show people because they don’t like attention. She says the attention would maybe bother her. Shaun says he wouldn’t mind people staring at him after that billboard. But, they both agree the answer is no.

If all is well, Kevin can return to the group home tomorrow. Marcus tells him that he is going to speak to Sarah about getting a tutor, there are some reading techniques that really worked for him. He gives Kevin his personal cell if he needs anything else.

Jordan and Lea are with Aaron, he talks to them about investors and tells them they are the product and it needs to be retooled. They would have to go back to the drawing board. Aaron is telling them that their million-dollar idea could be a billion-dollar idea. Jordan leaves, but Lea stands back and tells him that he needs to have more respect for the work they put in. She tells him that he pissed off Jordan, he says maybe she is too sensitive. He tells her if two men walked in his office and presented the business plan, he would have said the same thing.

Joan doesn’t want surgery that can help save her life. She says she is at the finish line. Later, Sophie asks Lea if they have decided about the reality show, but Lea says they haven’t decided. Sophie tells Shuan that he needs to be seen.

Kevin is bleeding from the incision site. Marcus checks him, the sutures are torn he did it himself. Marcus asks him if he wants to stay there, and he says yes. Marcus begs him to say who is hurting him. Kevin says there were five of them, they play this game every Friday after school, called happy hour. If he gets it right, they give him snacks but he gets it wrong, so they hurt him. Marcus tells him that he is brilliant, he is just dyslexic. Marcus speaks to Sarah, there is not much she can do because the ratio of kids to the home workers is high.

Sophie organizes a Zoom for Joan, of all her students and they tell her what she has done to inspire them. Joan is overwhelmed. Afterward, Sophie tells her that she is afraid of life outside that machine because she has been there for so long.

Marcus tells Kevin that he got him in a new foster home, it will take a week or so. Marcus looks at the incision and says it looks like an infection, they have to keep him there longer, for a week or so. There is no infection, Marcus is protecting him.

Aaron meets with Jordan and Lea again, he says there has to be a change in the dynamic on his part if they are going to do that, and he can’t so they should call it a day. Jordan had time to think about it, she wants to work with him, he says ok, and he is willing to give it a shot.

Sophie asks them about the show again, he tells her that Lea doesn’t want to do it and that is ok. Lea says she wants to inspire other people and planning a wedding sucks. Shaun says they are going to be reality show people.

THE END!
