The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may propose to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) next. Will Adam make an impulsive marriage plea to stop all the Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) bonding?
Adam can deny it all he wants, but he’s undoubtedly a bit jealous.
That jealousy may be even worse now that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has made it clear she’s done with Adam for good.
Adam must be feeling lost and lonely, so it’s reasonable that he’d drift back in familiar Chelsea’s direction.
Chelsea and Adam share a son together as well as a lengthy history, so they’re always going to be deeply intertwined.
That’s part of why Adam doesn’t like how Billy’s the one stepping up for Chelsea right now.
There was a time when Chelsea would’ve automatically turned to Adam, so it stings that he’s not her go-to guy anymore.
However, Adam might form a plan to reclaim his top spot – and not just as a confidant.
Since Adam is painfully single again, maybe he could start battling regrets over the end of his romance with Chelsea.
Adam is the king of impulsive marriage proposals, so maybe another one could be brewing.
Back in the days of happy “Chadam” love, Adam wanted to remarry Chelsea and put their family back together.
This could be Adam’s chance to revisit that pitch and beg Chelsea for a path forward as a couple.
Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) has been dealing with bullies at school and continues to battle concerns about Chelsea’s mental state.
Adam might pop the question to Chelsea and suggest they could give Connor a sense of stability.
By presenting a united front as an engaged and ultimately remarried couple, Adam may think they can give Connor hope for the future.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the best idea to spring a marriage proposal on Chelsea when she’s so vulnerable.
Messing with Chelsea’s emotions even further could create more issues, so Billy would no doubt blow his top if Adam took this route.
Nevertheless, Adam might insist he’s willing to make vows and take care of Chelsea for the rest of his life – that is if she’ll just say yes!
It could stir up some interesting emotions for Sally as well and leave her worried about Chelsea being used as a rebound.
