Adam is focused on retaining the position as CEO of Newman Enterprises.
Even though Adam let Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) know he is aware of the plan to lure Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) back, Sally encouraged him to use the time to prove himself.
Just when Adam thought he had a chance to prove himself, Victoria got on the company jet to fly back to Genoa City.
Adam has barely had a chance to do anything with Newman Enterprises. Even though Adam knew that Victoria would be back, he didn’t think it would happen this quickly.
Adam started unraveling on the Friday, July 1 episode.
Adam threw his hands up in the air and said that it was all over. It was Sally that had to rein Adam back in and encourage him to not give up.
Sally Spectra Questions Future

It’s true that Adam and Sally bonded when they shared their devious schemes from the past. Sally will always be a bit of a schemer.
Sally realizes her mistakes and really wants to gain respect in Genoa City. Sally knows that going back to the dark side won’t give her a bright future.
Adam on the other hand is so enraged and tired of losing to Victoria. Adam won’t be satisfied going back to Newman Media.
While others might just walk away and strike out on their own, Adam gets vengeful. This could be what makes Sally question her future with Adam.

When Adam goes back to the dark side, he will only see the goal. Adam won’t realize everything he can lose by going too far.
Sally is no stranger to darkness and embraced it a few times herself.
However, Sally could realize that Adam is going down the wrong path and it could jeopardize everything she’s working so hard for.
This could force Sally to make a choice. Will Sally continue supporting Adam despite his revenge scheme?
Or could Sally finally prove to everyone she’s a decent human being?
Unfortunately, it seems that Sally can’t have both a repaired reputation and the perfect love story. Sally will have to make a choice and it could break her heart.
