The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) may push Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to give Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) the real Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) story. Will Diane burn Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) by turning the tables?
Talia initially sought Nikki out because she wanted to do a story on Ashland and the impact of his death on the Newman family.
Nikki convinced Talia that was old news and steered her in the direction of Diane’s scandalous resurrection instead.
However, things are shifting now that Talia is getting down to the nitty-gritty of all this.
On the August 29 episode, Talia will express concern about doing a story that’s been done before.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will try to convince Talia that they can include new details, including whatever’s out there to find in LA.
Even so, Talia could eventually find herself drawn to the original story she wanted to tell – or at least a new-and-improved version of it.
After all, Ashland’s death certainly isn’t old news if Talia gets information from Adam!
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is staying loyal to the Newmans and refusing to publish anything damaging, so why not take the story to Talia?
As luck would have it, Talia is still pretending to cover the Ashland angle anyway.
When Diane approaches Talia during the week of August 29-September 2, Talia will lie that Ashland is at the center of her piece.
Of course, Y&R spoilers say Diane will be skeptical about that, especially after Nikki and Phyllis show up.
Once Diane realizes the threat the real exposé poses, she could try turning the tables.
Diane could easily find out from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that Adam is feeling vengeful against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Since Diane schemed with Adam once upon a time, she might hope he’s got a few tricks up his sleeve.
Diane might even overhear something about the evidence Adam scored and realize she’s got a brilliant opportunity.
It’d be the perfect solution if Diane could get Adam to take a shiny new Ashland story to Talia.
That might be enough to make Talia forget all about the Diane exposé – particularly since she’s already concerned it’ll be too similar to the one in Restless Style.
There’s no guarantee Adam would do what Diane wants, but she could at least try! It’d be fun to watch Nikki get burned by her own plot if Talia published the cover-up saga instead.
