The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) may be tempted by single Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) might have a golden revenge opportunity, so let’s talk about how things might go down.
Y&R fans know Devon and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) recently hooked up, which led to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) walking in on them together.
Of course, both Chance and Amanda think there was more to that hookup than a momentary lapse in judgment.
The show’s playing up Abby and Devon’s real feelings like they may be in denial, so it’s possible these two will become a real couple.
However, it could take some time for Devon and Abby to work through their personal issues first.
That’s especially true for Abby, who’s heartbroken over Chance wanting a divorce.
Abby may need to mourn for her marriage before she can even think about moving forward romantically.
That could leave the door open for Elena to be drawn to Devon, especially now that he’s no longer tied down by Amanda.
Although Elena decided to give her relationship with Nate another try, they’re certainly not on solid ground.
Elena is still unsure of whether Nate can be the man she fell in love with, but she’s willing to let him try to prove himself.
Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee that plan will pay off. Y&R has set Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) up as another potential love interest for Nate, so they could inch Elena back in Devon’s direction.
Elena may end up disappointed by Nate once again, so that could lead to her reconnecting with Devon.
In addition to their romantic history, Devon and Elena could bond over their Nate grievances.
Elena and Devon could both find themselves feeling lost and alone, so this might be a good time for them to surrender to temptation.
Although Devon may not be cruel enough to truly use Elena for revenge on Nate, payback could happen anyway!
Nate will be furious if Devon lands back in bed with Elena – whether it happens before or after a breakup.
