The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) deserve a real onscreen wedding. Will this Y&R couple renew their vows in Genoa City?
It’s an option to consider now that we know Allison Lanier has joined the show as a Summer recast and will be making her GC debut.
Lanier takes over the role of Summer from Hunter King and will no doubt bring her own unique flavor.
Once Lanier finds her groove and is hopefully accepted as a Summer recast, maybe a real “Skyle” wedding could happen.
Many fans were disappointed when Summer and Kyle got a small offscreen in Italy that we simply heard about afterward.
After everything Kyle and Summer went through to be together, it was a bummer to skip the big celebration of love.
Summer and Kyle faced a lot of false starts and setbacks, but they finally found their way back to each other.
That deserves to be honored through some onscreen nuptials. It might actually work out well that the show waited since now we have a new Summer.
Again, they’ll want to let Allison Lanier find her footing in the role first, but it’d be nice to see Summer and Kyle renew their vows eventually.
It’d be easy for Kyle and Summer to decide to hold an event like this for their anniversary – or perhaps because Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) hates that she missed her son’s wedding day.
Why not have a fun do-over celebration for those who couldn’t be at the original celebration?
Kyle will ultimately try to repair his damaged relationship with Diane, so they should develop a nice mother-son bond in time.
If Diane makes a special vow renewal request once that happens, Kyle will surely want to honor it.
Besides, who doesn’t love a good party? People are often looking for a reason to celebrate in Genoa City, so Kyle and Summer may have a great one down the road.
