The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 23, teases that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will quit podcasting, so Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will get some bad news. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also challenge Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), so there’ll be some big things happening in Genoa City.
After Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) hands down the ultimatum that Billy really didn’t want, he’ll be backed into a corner.
Billy can continue co-hosting his podcast with Chelsea and The Grinning Soul, but not if he wants to remain in the COO spot.
Lily will need Billy to devote more time and attention to his real job, but she’ll understand if he wants to make podcasting his work focus instead.
Billy will end up honoring his commitment to helping Lily as COO, which means he’ll step away from the podcasting game and leave Chelsea disappointed.
Later during the week of August 22-26, Billy will encourage Chelsea to fly solo on her own podcast, but the big draw for her was bouncing ideas off him.
Chelsea will hate to see Billy give up on his passion, but there’s still time for him to have a change of heart.
In the meantime, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will fret over Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) fragile state of mind, but Victoria will insist she’s doing better after a chat with Billy.
Nevertheless, Nikki will seemingly want Victoria to take some time for self-care – and Victoria will have an intriguing way to do just that.
Victoria’s goal will be moving on from Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), but Chance will be stuck on the decision he felt obligated to make.
We’ll see Victor challenge Chance and put his loyalty to the test.
Once Victor gets proof that Chance officially closed the Ashland investigation like he planned, he may push Chance to stop all his bellyaching.
Victor might think Chance needs to suck it up and accept that sometimes family trumps the law.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance will inevitably face more moral conflicts as long as he’s married to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), so stay tuned.
