The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, February 1, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get some disturbing news while Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) plays with fire. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will also face a tough blow, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
At Crimson Lights, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will grow increasingly curious about Michael’s latest challenge.
Lauren will be glad Michael is finding something to keep his mind occupied since he’d be bored otherwise.
Full retirement just isn’t Michael’s thing, so it’s good that he’s staying busy.
At the same time, Lauren knows how Victor operates and will worry about this job taking over Michael’s life.
She’ll also battle some worries since Michael hasn’t really told Lauren what he’s doing. The cryptic nature of all this will add to Lauren’s fears, so she’ll hope Michael’s willing to open up.
Victor specifically wants Michael to concentrate on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and an investigation surrounding him.
Of course, Michael may not go into many details with Lauren since this is all very hush-hush.
Regardless, Lauren will see the potential for things to go south with Michael working for Victor again.
She’ll feel like Michael is playing with fire and will fret over the fate of their relationship if it all goes wrong.
Ashland’s medical condition is of particular interest to Victor, who’s worried about Ashland growing stronger and making power plays.
Y&R viewers have already seen the first signs of that since Ashland clearly wants more control than he has right now.
There’ll be some unnerving news on Tuesday, so Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will face that and fret over Ashland’s true motives.
Will Nikki and Victor get a hint that raises doubts about Ashland ever having lung cancer? Whether that happens now or later, it’s indeed coming!
Next, Chelsea will find a way to hit Sally hard.
Chelsea hates Sally with a passion and might see the potential to get rid of her with Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) taking the reins at Newman Media.
Adam will stay on as CEO if he can suck it up and work for his bossy sister.
However, Chelsea might go over Adam’s head and give Victoria a chance to exert her new power.
Perhaps Chelsea will insist Sally is detrimental to the Newman Fashion brand and will only waste Adam’s valuable time.
It’s easy to imagine Victoria cutting Sally loose to spite Adam despite the wedding dress coup Sally pulled off in Tuscany. Business is business when it comes to the Newmans!
No matter what strategy Chelsea comes up with, she’ll leave Sally shocked and livid soon enough.
