The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 18, teases that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) dangerous game will make waves while Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) recruits Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to play for his team. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will also make a discovery that brings a new dilemma, so let’s talk about what viewers can look forward to.
Ashland still has buried secrets that he should’ve shared by now, so he’s taking quite a gamble. Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) trusts her husband at this point, but she shouldn’t!
Nikki may come to realize that after she makes a discovery related to Ashland on Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
After Ashland gets busted in a compromising position, Nikki will no doubt want some answers. Ashland may come up with excuses to cover his blunder, but Nikki will remain uneasy.
This could involve a cryptic phone call, a legal document, a mysterious meeting or some other problematic situation.
Ashland will try to climb out of the hole he’s been digging for himself, but this could be the beginning of the end.
Nikki can’t just let this go if she feels like Ashland is lying to Victoria – and he indeed is.
There’s a good chance Ashland never had lung cancer to begin with, so Nikki might get a hunch about his medical lies.
Regardless, Nikki will definitely be suspicious of Ashland and will feel the need to seek more information.
Speaking of seeking more info, that’s what Mariah will do, too. Mariah will turn to Devon and want to hear his point of view on the Dominic drama.
Mariah will go into this on Abby’s side and may argue that Devon has become overly attached like she was.
However, Devon will try to convince Mariah that he’s genuinely fearful when it comes to Dom’s care.
Devon won’t think Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is capable of caring for Dominic properly and will want to step up.
Perhaps Devon will trigger all Mariah’s old protective emotions and turn her into an ally.
Devon will recruit Mariah and want to strategize for the custody battle, so Mariah may land in Devon’s corner after his updates.
As for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), she’ll be busy delivering stunning news to Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).
Tessa may bring Noah in the loop on her plan to propose to Mariah and leave Noah realizing he truly needs to let go of what might’ve been.
Over with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), their connection will be on full display once again.
Sharon will lend an ear to Nick and guide him down the right path as usual. Nick will be full of gratitude as Y&R keeps inching these exes closer and closer.
Next, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will face a twinge of heartache on Tuesday’s show.
There’ll be a distressing reminder thanks to Nick, so that could involve witnessing his close moment with Sharon or perhaps some other little reminder of the past.
Phyllis may feel like her own relationship with Nick will never be that simple again. She’s not in the same league when it comes to comfortable exes, so that may be hard for her to accept.
