The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 9, teases that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will dump Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) while Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) walks out on Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
At Devon’s penthouse, Amanda will wonder “what the hell” is going on while Chance bolts back out the door. Abby and Devon will scramble to get dressed as they try to salvage their respective relationships.
Once Abby chases after Chance, Devon will struggle to explain what happened since he won’t even understand it himself. It was a spontaneous incident where “one thing led to another,” but Amanda will seem skeptical about it just happening the one time.
Devon will swear that it was just once, but Amanda will wonder how he could do this to her again and will rehash what happened with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).
When Amanda asks if Devon ever cheated on Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) and learns he didn’t, she’ll guess she’s just the unlucky sister then.
Despite Amanda’s efforts to convince herself she wasn’t a “poor man’s Hilary,” she’ll see that this isn’t going to work. Amanda will point out that she has a family to turn to now and won’t be interested in Devon’s warped sense of love.
Although Devon will try to protest, Amanda will be glad she found out this way since she can walk back out without a backward glance. Amanda won’t even have to unpack her suitcase and will point out that she can send for the rest of her things later.
Devon will push Amanda to stay and talk about this, but Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) will start crying on the baby monitor. Amanda will urge Devon to go to his son and go to Dominic’s mother too if he wants.
While Amanda dumps Devon and prepares to leave town again, Abby will catch up with Chance at home. Although Abby will act like this thing with Devon came out of nowhere, Chance won’t agree.
After Chance talks about how he noticed this building for a while, he’ll argue that what happened between Devon and Abby was inevitable. Abby will assure Chance that she wasn’t seeking revenge, but she’ll acknowledge that Devon is actually there for her and never puts work first.
Chance will end up admitting that he wants to make someone happy and be able to be himself. Unfortunately, Chance won’t think that’s the kind of relationship he has with Abby – and he won’t see any kind of solution now.
Once Chance says he needs time and space to figure things out, he’ll push Abby to give him that. Abby will be deeply distraught as Chance walks out.
At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will pick up on the tension during an encounter between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Once Adam joins Jack at a table, he’ll confess there have been some distractions in his life recently.
Adam will talk about the drama with Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) before admitting Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is now MIA. Although Adam will worry about Chelsea leaning on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Jack will feel certain Billy is only trying to help.
Adam will ultimately admit to pushing Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) away for the sake of her Newman Media CEO job, which she lost anyway. Then, Adam waited too late to fight for Sally, who moved on with Nick.
Jack will know from personal experience how hard it is to share a love interest with a brother. As for Sally, Jack will realize Adam truly loves her and will urge him to find a way to let her know.
At Newman Media, Sally will still be packing up her belongings when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) appears with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). That’ll lead to Victoria offering to get security so that Sally can speed things along.
Sally will insist that won’t be necessary and will assure Nate that she doesn’t blame him for anything. After Sally says she understands it’s just business on Nate’s end, Victoria will hint for her to be gone when they get back.
Once Sally is alone, she’ll gaze at her nameplate from the desk. Sally will also look at a couple of encouraging notes she previously received – one from Nick as well as one from Adam.
Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Sally will bump into Nick at Crimson Lights and confess to missing him. Nick will also miss Sally, but he’ll be adamant about wanting all of her and not getting caught up in some love triangle with Adam.
Sally will admit she wants a drama-free relationship with someone who considers her an equal. Although there was a certain conflict with Adam that was once appealing, she’ll be looking for stability now and positive energy now. Nick will assure Sally that what she wants makes perfect sense.
We’ll pass along updates as other Y&R news comes in. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally and Nick seem poised to move forward together, so stay tuned! CDL will have other great Young and the Restless spoilers, news and updates, so stop by regularly.
