The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of August 8 – Chelsea Goes Too Far – New Lead in Ashland Case – Elena Demands Answers

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of August 8-12 tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will go too far while a new lead in the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case comes to light. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will also demand answers, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

For starters, Chelsea will end up pushing boundaries and ruffling a few feathers.

Now that Chelsea is Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) co-host on the podcast, she may get too bossy about her ideas.

Chelsea may take things too far on the show and get into an uncomfortable area.

Since Chelsea and Billy plan to discuss their shared past, the part about Chelsea being Johnny Abbott’s (Holden and Ryan Hare) biological mother might come up.

That could lead to tension if Billy feels like Johnny is being exploited or Chelsea is diminishing Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) role as his adoptive mom.

Of course, they can always re-record whatever they need to, but that tension could make the vibe uncomfortable.

Then again, Chelsea might get flirty with Billy since these two have been growing closer.

That’d be going too far in Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) eyes since she’s in a committed relationship with Billy.

There’s even a chance Chelsea will go too far with someone else – like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) if a fight brings some insults that sink especially low.

Speaking of Sally, she’ll no doubt remain curious about the Ashland investigation and what else she might be missing.

Will Sally do some digging and figure out Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) staged the car accident?

Regardless, Sally doesn’t seem like she’s going to rest until she gets to the bottom of things.

If Sally does find out what really happened, it could put her in a tight spot as the CEO of Newman Media.

As for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), he’ll remain in a tight spot of his own as his guilt takes a toll.

Over with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), they’ll hope for a break in the case.

We’ll see Kevin and Chance team up to follow a new lead, so that could involve some relevant security footage regarding Ashland’s car.

Chance and Kevin should get a step closer to proving Ashland didn’t drive himself into that ravine.

Victor orchestrated a deadly cover-up, so the GCPD’s new clues could add up to serious Newman trouble.

Other Y&R spoilers say Elena will grow frustrated with Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) blatant interest in Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Elena will also get fed up with Nate brushing it off as harmless flirting, especially since he’s been talking to Imani so much lately.

As Elena’s anger boils over, she’ll corner Nate to demand some answers about the nature of his relationship with Imani.

Nate may think Elena is overreacting, but it’s clear that he’s closer to Imani than he should be.

Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will feel like her plan is coming together.

It sounds like Phyllis will lock in the Marchetti position she wants since she’ll put the next phase of the plot in motion.

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will do their part to help, but Phyllis will take the lead on this Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) takedown for now.

Diane will keep up her efforts to make progress with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so that could give Phyllis some motivation to hurry Diane’s destruction along.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane and Phyllis’ battle will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned.
