The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of December 19-23 teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will step up for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). It’ll take some clashing with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but Adam will manage to score a spot for Chelsea at the Newmans’ holiday get-together.
Afterward, Adam and Chelsea will lean on each other in a private moment.
Chelsea will realize Adam is feeling alone these days as well, so they’ll manage to offer mutual comfort.
It sounds like Billy could have some competition when it comes to being Chelsea’s main source of support.
If Adam and Chelsea keep bonding like this, Billy could be forced to take a backseat.
Since Billy has made helping Chelsea his whole personality, he could spin out if that heroic role is taken away from him.
Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) first couples counseling session can’t come soon enough!
Nick and Sally, on the other hand, will be moving in the right direction.
Sally will talk to Nick about her messy past, but Nick will think their present and future are what really matter.
After Nick reconnects with Sally in bed and meets up for Christmas with her later, Sally will get a promise.
Nick might vow to never hurt Sally the way Adam did, but is that a promise he can keep?
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also face his first Christmas without Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
Although Chance will surely squeeze in some bonding time with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), it just won’t be the same.
Y&R spoilers say Chance will stand by his belief that this divorce is for the best, but he should still be down in the dumps.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will come along to lift Chance’s spirits – and he can do the same for her since Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) won’t make it home for the holidays.
Over with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), they’ll discuss their future and hope it includes a baby in the new year.
Since Tessa and Mariah have a meeting with an expectant mother coming up, they’ll hope to become adoptive parents to her child.
As for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), she’ll feel like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is obsessed with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and will get riled over him constantly excusing her mistakes.
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will turn Ashley and Jack’s battle into a weapon against Jabot.
The sooner Tucker can separate Ashley from the Abbott pack, the easier his path to a takeover will be.
Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will trick Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) as Christmas approaches, but it’ll be for a good reason! Harrison will be left out of the loop on a secret visit to see “DiDi” since he might spill to someone he shouldn’t.
Kyle and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will simply give Harrison a vague explanation about a holiday adventure.
That’ll satisfy Harrison, who’ll get some exciting news at the cabin eventually.
Summer and Kyle will finally think it’s safe to tell Harrison about visiting Diane at that point.
Harrison will get updates on “DiDi” helping Santa, so he’ll be thrilled about their reunion.
There’ll be some worries once Kyle and Summer realize the cabin is empty.
The place will be lit up without any signs of a struggle, but Kyle will still fear Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) might’ve found his mom.
However, Jack will try to keep Jeremy busy and far away from Diane’s top-secret location.
That could mean Diane will appear after a false alarm and get a holiday family reunion after all.
Finally, Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) will open the door of his hotel suite and find Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) waiting on the other side.
That’ll bring a father-son hug and a pleasant surprise!
