The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of May 16 to May 20 tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will deliver a surprise while Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) sparks fly. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will also face a new challenge, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
For starters, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) ‘70s glam wedding will be in full swing.
There’ll be plenty of excitement as Tessa and Mariah get ready to walk down the aisle.
Of course, Kyle decided to leave town rather abruptly despite telling Mariah he’d do everything in his power to be at her wedding.
It’d be out of character for Kyle to just bail on his good friends right before their nuptials for no reason.
After all, there’s nothing important to keep Kyle away.
Kyle simply missed Summer and wanted to get her advice on the whole Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) situation.
That’s not a good enough excuse to miss the “Teriah” ceremony, so Kyle will thankfully show up to share in the fun – and it looks like he’ll ultimately grant Mariah’s officiating request after all.
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Summer will return to town as well, so she can help Kyle work through his family issues in Genoa City.
We’ll see Kyle and Summer mull over their family’s future and consider whether a move back to GC might be the right call.
As for Mariah and Tessa, they’ll successfully become happy wives and celebrate with the guests at the reception.
Crystal Porter (Morgan Obenreder) will be part of that celebration along with other family members and friends.
Look for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to catch the bouquet, so that could be a good sign of things to come.
It’d be nice to see Jack settle down in a new marriage, so we’ll see if he might remarry Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) one day – that is if Diane doesn’t cause too many problems!
It turns out Allie will attend the wedding party, which will give her a chance to get to know Noah.
Allie is all set to be Noah’s new love interest, so they should have some cute moments as sparks first fly.
Once the nuptials are over, Sharon will have to face the reality of life without Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Y&R fans know Sharon has been throwing herself into wedding planning, so that’s offered an escape from the grief.
What happens after Sharon no longer has something to keep her busy? Will Sharon crash from all the emotions she’s dealing with? Regardless, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and the rest of Sharon’s loved ones will step up to support her.
Meanwhile, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will be on a mission to help Esther Valentine (Kate Linder).
Esther will embrace a fresh start with Chloe’s assistance, but that’ll also involve a nod to the past.
This should involve a special episode meant to celebrate Kate Linder’s 40 years in the role, so don’t miss what’s ahead for Esther.
