Tonight’s AGT – All Stars episode begins the first act, Avery Dixon, he was one of the top 11 finalists in season 17, he is a saxophonist, and during his time he has brought his band. Avery earned a gold buzzer from host Terry Crew and was sent through to the finals.
Judges Comments: Howie: “You my man are an all-star, you stepped it up, you are an amazing piece of talent and this was an amazing show.” Heidi: “You can see that I love you, I can’t sit in my seat.” Simon: “This is why I wanted to do this show, you are great and this competition brings out the best in people, you have given yourself a chance at winning this, you have raised the bar.”
Peter Antoniou is from London, UK he appears on AGT season 16 and was a semi-finalist. He is a psychic. Tonight he is having a psychic tea party with Terry Crews, Howie Mandel, and a member of the audience.
After a few minutes into the performance, Simon hits the red buzzer because how he got the finish in Howie’s opinion was too long.
Judges Comments: Howie: “It is so exciting to have somebody read your mind, what he did is a superpower. If I have to say anything negative, the superfine only has one choice, I think yours is worthy of the final.” Heidi: “I love you and I am so happy you are back.”
Viviana Rossi is from Barcelona, Spain and she appeared on AGT season 17, sadly she had to pull out due to an injury. She is an aural act that performs without anything protecting her if she falls.
Judges Comments: Howie: “Unbelievable that looked incredibly dangerous, that was amazing.” Heidi: “I love you, what you do is absolutely stunning, I am mesmerized over time I see you, I am a huge fan of yours.” Simon: “There is no question you would have made the final last year. There is something about your showmanship that is spectacular. You are the one to beat right now.”
Dustin’s Dojo is a comedy karate act, they appeared in season 9 and were the first golden buzzer ever, with Howard Stern hitting his button. It only takes about 5 seconds for Simon to hit the red buzzer. Howie gives them a standing ovation, and Heidi hits her red buzzer. Simon says it wasn’t karate, it was crappy.
Judges Comments: Simon: “I have nothing to say.” Heidi: “I didn’t get it many many years ago when you performed, so I wanted to sit back and try this time, but I still don’t get it.” Howie: “I think it is pre-comedy, I think it is silly, I would go see this movie.”
Mike E. Winfield is a comedian from AGT season 17 who finished in the bottom 6 of the top 11. He admits that he gets a lot of material from his family, and promises his funniest set yet. He gets a standing ovation and doesn’t say a word. Howie calls him a superstar, he offered him a job to open up for him but Mike hasn’t had time.
Judges Comments: Heidi: “I love you. There is a superstar smile, you are a ray of sunshine.” Simon: “If you had done that routine in that final, it might have been a different outcome. I can see how much this means to you. I love people who compete and I wasn’t expecting to do this [Simon hits the golden buzzer].”
Keiichi Iwasaki is a magician from Maebashi, Japan. He was on Britain’s Got Talent season 15 and was a semi-finalist.
Judges Comments: Howie: “I think the super fans are going to love, I love you.” Heidi: “I loved when you came onto the stage, you were super excited and got me excited too.” Simon: “I always liked you because you don’t take magic too seriously and you have a personality, people are going to like you.”
Dance Town Family were a dance group who appeared in season 15 but because of COVID, they were not able to appear live in front of the judges. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals, came back as a wildcard, and got eliminated again. Since then, they have performed with Jennifer Lopez at the Super Bowl.
Judges Comments: Heidi: “This was insane, beautiful, your faces, it was just spectacular. You just kept it coming, it was so good, I love you guys.” Howie: “It was energetic, it was fun, it was above and beyond anything we have seen you do before on this show.” Simon: “I am not normally a fan of this kind of act. However, this was an exception. It was everything I think an all-star should be.”
Karen Montero is a singer from Santo Domingo East, Dominican Republic. She appeared on Dominicana’s Got Talent season 2 and was the winner.
Judges Comments: Heidi: “I think you gave yourself a real shot. You have a powerful and beautiful voice.” Howie: “I love the range, you are soft-spoken and you belt it out.” Simon: “The talent this year is astonishing, you took that song but I think sometimes you have to do what nobody has done before.”
Captain Ruin is a punk dare-devil from Melbourne, Australia. He appeared on Australia’s Got Talent season 9 and was a semi-finalist. He got a golden buzzer but withdrew from the competition before the finals. Simon hits the red buzzer.
Judges Comments: Simon: “There was a lot of buildups and no much delivery and I think your target should have been smaller.” Heidi: “I wasn’t super scared either, I have to be honest.” Howie: “You know what I think it is though, no punk intended, because you are playing with knives, this needed an edge.”
Bir Khalsa is a dangerous group from India, there were on AGT season 14 and were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
Judges Comments: Howie: “That is by far the craziest thing I have ever seen.” Heidi: “It was exhausting, insanely crazy, so entertaining, I could not look away. Mind-blowing.” Simon:” This was one of my favorite performances, it was fantastically mad, and chaotic.”
It’s all down to how the super fans voted.
In no particular order, the first act in the top three is Peter Antoniou, the next is Karen Montero and the last one is Avery Dixon.
