General Hospital Recap: Friday, March 24 – Dex Suspects Selina – Victor Scores Fake Necklace – Esme Ready to Run with Ace

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, March 24, reveals that Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) assured Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) that she wouldn’t double-cross them since they could help her survive.

Eileen was given an excellent forgery of the necklace, but she still had concerns.

Anna and Valentin acted like Eileen would hopefully be out of there before Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) raised too many questions or had a chance to contact an expert.

However, the meeting had to happen now – and they wanted Eileen to wear a wire.

Eileen thought that was insane and refused since Victor would kill her if he caught on.

As an alternative, Valentin and Anna said that DA Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) would call the deputy mayor on official business, so Eileen could alert him if anything was wrong.

At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, Victor showed up to see Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) and left Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) on edge.

Laura threatened to have security escort Victor out if he didn’t leave, but Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) jumped in to smooth things over.

Outside the door, Spencer confirmed that he still needed Victor’s help to get custody of Ace, but he warned that they couldn’t talk about it there.

Back inside with Esme, she admitted she had a bad feeling whenever Victor was around.

Laura said that was because Victor was a bad man, but she assured Esme that she’d be safe there along with Ace.

Afterward, Spencer apologized to Esme and Laura for the intrusion.

Once Spencer announced that he was going to pick up Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) party, he took off.

That led to Esme getting updates on Cam’s scholarship to Stanford, so she was glad she didn’t ruin his life.

Laura acknowledged that Esme had done terrible things, but she believed in redemption and was willing to take the first leap on trusting her.

Once Laura said she was going out for a bit, she told Esme to relax there with the baby and get settled in.

Laura also gave Esme some money in case of an emergency, so Esme pointed out that she could just take the money and run with Ace.

Although that was true, Laura believed Esme wanted what was best for her son and trusted that she would stay put.

After Laura left, Esme weighed her options and told Ace that they had food, clothing and shelter there.

Even so, Esme couldn’t risk losing Ace and ultimately decided to bolt with the cash.

Back with Eileen, she called Victor to set up a meeting so she could drop off the necklace.

Victor warned Eileen to be at his Metro Court suite in 45 minutes and not a second later.

In the meantime, Spencer arrived and talked to Victor about their plans for Esme.

As long as there was breath left in his body, Victor assured Spencer there was no way he’d let Esme raise a Cassadine heir.

If there wasn’t enough proof to send Esme to prison, then Victor suggested they could manufacture some.

Spencer wanted to think it over, but Victor reminded him that Esme could take off with his innocent, defenseless brother at any time.

Once Spencer left, Eileen brought the fake necklace to Victor and was eager to leave.

Victor told Eileen to take a seat since he wanted to inspect this masterpiece together.

Meanwhile, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) caught Trina sneaking in Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) place like it wasn’t her home.

Trina admitted she wasn’t sure it was anymore, but Marshall insisted she’d always have a home there.

After Trina opened up about Spencer living with his ex-girlfriend again, she seemed thrown by seeing Esme, Spencer and Ace together like they were a family.

Marshall was surprised to learn it had been Trina’s idea to drop the charges against Esme for now.

Trina also admitted her relationship with Spencer had evolved beyond friendship, but Marshall seemed wary due to how Spencer had hurt Trina in the past.

Once Marshall promised he’d always be honest with Trina, he suggested maybe she should exit Spencer’s drama-filled life stage left!

The doorbell rang moments later, so Spencer faced Trina and Marshall once they opened up.

Outside Kelly’s, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) that the burner phone didn’t pan out, so they weren’t able to ID the warehouse shooter.

Sonny made a phone call to set up a meeting on Pier 55 and made it clear they weren’t giving up.

Dex wondered if Sonny was concerned about his family, so Sonny said he was taking precautions and emphasized the need to take out the target.

When Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) found Cam picking up his last paycheck, Dex and Sonny interrupted.

Sonny wanted Dex to stay inside while he stepped out to speak with Josslyn alone.

Sonny alerted Josslyn to the mob threat, but Joss said she already knew and claimed Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) told her.

Josslyn pointed out this life was starting to become normal for her younger sisters and wished that broke Sonny’s heart half as much as it broke her own.

Back with Cameron, he warned Dex that Josslyn was still his friend.

Cam advised against hurting Josslyn or else he’d tell Sonny about the two of them, so Dex emphasized how much he cared about Joss.

After Dex left with Sonny on Friday’s GH episode, Cameron assured Josslyn that he wanted her at his party and reiterated that they were still friends.

When Cam assumed things were getting pretty serious between Joss and Dex, she admitted she could never be with someone so soon after their breakup if it was meaningless.

That seemed like a tough blow for Cameron, who said he’d see Josslyn later and took off.

Once Laura crossed paths with Josslyn, she tried to ease Joss’ guilt over the breakup news.

Although Cameron was still hurting right now, Laura seemed hopeful about the future.

On the pier, Selina met with Sonny and Dex after being summoned.

After Selina said she heard about Sonny’s recent trouble, she suggested the move against him was an unforgivable breach of decorum.

Selina didn’t recognize the man in the pic on Sonny’s phone, but he assumed someone in her organization would.

Since Selina owned the Highsider bar that the shooter was linked to, Sonny sought help figuring this out.

Selina insisted the bar was merely an investment and that she didn’t keep tabs on customers, so Sonny said this was the second time she’d let him down lately.

Once Selina realized the other time involved Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) selling her the garage, she apologized for not letting Sonny know about negotiations in advance.

Sonny warned that if Selina messed with his family, then she messed with him.

Nevertheless, Selina felt confident that the garage could be beneficial for both of them.

After Selina suggested the shooter was a concern for her too, she said someone must know this man and vowed to make inquiries.

Selina was her usual cagey, confident self and hoped Sonny knew how much she valued their association.

“Rest assured, this enemy is one we share,” Selina said before leaving with her bodyguard.

Once Dex was alone with Sonny, he asked if Selina could really be trusted.

Back at Laura’s residence, Esme grabbed the money along with her bag.

Once Esme wrapped Ace up so they could leave together, she opened the door and found Cam since he’d been about to knock.

General Hospital spoilers say Cameron will have some tricky questions for Esme, so stay tuned!
