General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, January 27 Recap – Willow’s New Treatment – Valentin Declared Dead – Lucy & Martin Reunite

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, January 27, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) enjoyed waking up together. After talking about how hard it was to pretend they were just friends, Drew hated the fact that he couldn’t go public with Carly.

Carly didn’t see why this had to be an issue since the Aurora-ELQ merger didn’t even happen, but Drew pointed out someone could still report insider trading to the SEC.

Afterward, Carly got a call from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and learned Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) wasn’t a bone marrow match.

That left Carly worried another donor wouldn’t be found in time.

At the Metro Court, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) demanded updates on the underground flood and learned Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was still missing along with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).

Once Victor bumped into Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), he filled her in on Ava Jerome (Maura West) taking Spoon Island away from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) as part of the divorce settlement.

Suddenly, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) marched over to insist that Victor had gone too far.

After Laura revealed that she’d been contacted by the Paris authorities, she claimed Valentin was dead.

Victor learned that three bodies were recovered and one of them had been identified as Valentin’s.

There wasn’t confirmation on Anna yet according to Laura, who ranted at Victor before he excused himself to make some calls.

Victor got on the phone and angrily demanded answers since his son was never supposed to be harmed.

Meanwhile, Alexis praised Laura’s act, so it became apparent that they’d teamed up to convince Victor that Valentin was truly deceased.

Once Alexis offered Victor her condolences later, he said to “screw these reporters” and refused to believe Valentin was dead.

Next, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was caught off guard as someone grabbed him off an elevator.

Soon after, Martin had a blindfold on as he entered a safehouse with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

Since Lucy wasn’t going to shut up otherwise, Anna and Valentin let her reunite with Martin.

Once Martin’s blindfold was removed, he was ecstatic to see Lucy and ultimately went upstairs with her for some private bedroom time.

Although Lucy could say Anna wasn’t the shooter and get the charges dropped, Anna wasn’t quite ready to reveal herself yet.

Felicia had concerns about Valentin faking his death, but he assured her that Laura understood the plan and knew what to tell Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain).

The goal here was to exploit Victor’s guilt and maybe get him to admit something in his grief-stricken state. Valentin believed Victor had bought the lie, so Anna was hopeful about Victor’s downfall.

At Nina’s apartment, she was dressed and ready for Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial at the hospital.

Ava talked to Nina about that and about the Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) daughter revelation since she still couldn’t believe it.

Nina argued that she’d never even know if “that bitch” Carly had gotten her way.

After Nina ranted about “Saint Carly” getting away with everything, she felt all would be forgiven.

However, Nina warned that she wouldn’t rest until Carly paid for what she did and refused to let this go.

Ava understood that it was easier to be angry with Carly than feel the pain and fear of losing another child. Nina hated that she couldn’t save Willow and told Ava that she wouldn’t survive losing her.

Ava pushed Nina to hold onto hope – both for Willow’s survival and for a relationship with her.

Nina pinky promised that she wouldn’t give up before heading to GH.

Once Ava was alone, she arranged for Nikolas to be gone from Wyndemere by tomorrow, but she delayed her own arrival since she was needed at Nina’s place.

In Willow’s hospital room, Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) offered another treatment option since stem cells could be harvested from the blood in the umbilical cord and placenta.

Willow tried to shut Terry down since she assumed her baby would be at risk, but Terry insisted the baby wouldn’t be affected in any way – except for being delivered a few weeks early.

Willow was still worried, but Terry felt confident the baby would be fine.

Dr. Sofia Navarro (Christine Ferraro) agreed with Terry and already approved this treatment possibility.

Terry explained that they’d harvest the stem cells from the blood once the umbilical cord and placenta were no longer in use.

There were no guarantees, but Terry felt this was Willow’s best option by far – and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was also hopeful about giving this a shot.

Before Willow could agree, Carly brought Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) by for a visit as promised.

Wiley hugged Willow and offered a card he made her, so Willow’s spirits were lifted.

Carly privately told Michael it meant the world that he asked her to bring Wiley.

After Carly hoped this meant they were OK, Michael said they were – or at least they would be eventually.

Michael also delivered the good news about a potential way to save Willow and explained the treatment, but he warned that Willow hadn’t agreed to it yet.

Back in Willow’s room, Wiley talked to his baby sister and told her it was time to come out.

Willow decided Wiley was right and said they’d better call Dr. Navarro since she was having a baby.

Michael was glad over Willow’s decision and told her that someday they could tell their daughter how she saved her mother’s life.

When Drew found Carly at the hospital, he was relieved to hear Willow might actually be OK.

As Nina came around the corner, she spotted Carly and Drew in an intimate hug.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina’s vengeful desires will lead to more drama, so stay tuned.
