General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, January 4, tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will quiz Ava Jerome (Maura West) about Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and the hold he has on Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
While Laura pumps Ava for information, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will offer Nikolas a warning at GH.
It looks like Spencer will insist that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is going to blow Nikolas out of the water, so he may suspect Nik has been hiding his “baby mama.”
As for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), he’ll also be curious where Esme’s been hiding out all these months.
Esme will face a grilling session, so she’ll have a chance to rat out Nikolas and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) if she chooses, too.
However, Esme might demand a lawyer first and could potentially keep Nikolas’ captor secret under wraps for now.
We can’t forget that Esme originally tried to negotiate with Nikolas for legal representation – and she’ll have far more leverage to secure that now.
It’s worth mentioning that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will accept a new client within the next episode or two, so Esme may end up with him as her attorney.
In the meantime, Nikolas and Elizbeth will have a strategy session, so they’ll try to find a way to deal with their giant mutual problem.
Over with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she’ll battle doubts as she opens up to someone.
Spencer was adamant that he’s not the father of Esme’s baby, but Trina could still worry about the possibility.
Fortunately, fans saw for themselves that Spencer refused to take Esme to bed.
Trina may soon realize it’s Nikolas who’s the true father – unless she doubts that, too!
Anything is possible with a liar like Esme, so it’s wise for everyone to keep an open mind about a paternity rewrite.
Next, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will get some guidance from Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), who’ll urge him to “go grab her.”
It sounds like Scott may push Cameron to find Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) for a belated New Year’s Eve celebration.
Of course, Josslyn has already been having the steamy time of her life with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
In the aftermath of their hookup, Josslyn will assure Dex that she’s not going to tell herself “those lies again.”
It seems Josslyn may be ready to accept her feelings for Dex and finally break up with Cameron, but she really should’ve done it before cheating on him!
Cam will go looking for Josslyn and may grow suspicious of where she’s been all night.
On The Haunted Star, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will beg Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to help her understand what’s happening to her.
Britt collapsed after Liesl noticed a cut on her chest, so she got nicked by “The Hook” after all.
That’s terrible news since the hook is coated with venom – and the anti-venom was in short supply at the hospital.
A panicked Obrecht will make sure Britt gets rushed to GH, but it should be too late to cure her.
Britt has been poisoned and seems poised to become the next death in “The Hook” storyline.
As for the identity of “The Hook,” the show just revealed it was Heather Webber (Alley Mills) under the mask.
Heather has been shot, so she’ll remain in a bind as she tries to conceal her sinister grand plan.
