General Hospital (GH) spoilers review for the week of March 13-17 reveals that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) faced yet another setback in her health crisis. Willow’s leukemia battle has been tough, especially since GH writers seem so intent on dragging things out.
Fans saw some light at the end of the tunnel when Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was finally confirmed as a bone marrow donor match, but now there’s a problem.
The treatment has been delayed since Obrecht has to wait for some medication to get out of her system.
Of course, Willow is already fading fast, so Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) certainly has concerns about how long this transplant is taking.
This is starting to feel like Willow’s never-ending medical story, but let’s hope they’ll pick up the pace toward the end.
Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) came up with a risky plan after meeting with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) at Spring Ridge.
Esme would probably just look like a poor traumatized young mother if she went before the jury now, especially with her memory issues.
That’s part of why Trina suggested dropping the charges for the time being and watching Esme closely for any signs of a slipup.
If Esme ultimately remembers her crimes, the charges could be refiled – and it’d make it a lot easier to score a conviction.
However, unleashing Esme on Port Charles again will inevitably mean taking a gamble.
There’s a good chance Esme’s memory flood is rapidly approaching, so you can bet she’ll keep faking her amnesia and stir up trouble on the outside.
Esme has proven she can be dangerous and destructive, but the threat could be even stronger if everyone gets lulled into a false sense of security.
Since so many people like Laura Collins (Genie Francis) see the love Esme has for her baby, it does create a more sympathetic image that Esme can exploit.
Esme’s freedom could doom Port Charles to another round of drama, but that’s a risk Trina’s willing to take for Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) sake.
Ace is just an innocent baby who doesn’t deserve to be behind bars, so Esme will soon be able to raise him as a free woman.
