Tonight’s Law & Order SVU episode begins at Colton Suites, two men are having drinks and one of them asks the bartender for a referral to women who can give them attentive conversation, he slips him some money and the bartender says he can maybe help them out. He asks them their type and one of them says redhead. Anny is at a bar, she is having drinks with friends, when she goes over to the bar and orders a double tequila shot.

Velasco and Muncy are at bar as well, Bruno talks Churlish into going there and gives her money to buy them drinks and bury the hatchet. While Churlish is at the bar she meets Muncy’s brother Teddy.

The next day, Abby wakes up near a dumpster. She is barely able to walk, she makes it to a corner store, says she was raped and collapses into a man’s arms.

At the station, Velasco tells Benson that he has made headway with Chilly, he might be living in north east. Benson says she will run him through the system but she is not going to teach him how to wipe his own nose. She says she has been hard on him, but she is also proud of him. Bruno walks in, he says they just got a call, a young woman walked into a bar and was gang raped.

At Mercy Hospital, Abby’s ex-husband was also at the bar, he says she called him, she was hysterical and the nurse said she was bleeding. Bruno asks why they got divorce, he says it was a COVID romance. They were having a party at the bar.

Muncy and Velasco are in Abby’s room, she says she doesn’t remember most of it. She was drinking and dancing, she felt free. She says she has been divorced for a few days, that is why they were celebrating, as odd as that seems. They were with other friends, but she went to the bar on her own, downed a Tequilla and went to the bathroom.

She woke up, naked, facedown on a bed on fifth avenue. The men were slick, ordinary men with beer bellies, they started yelling at some guy at the door. She was helpless, she couldn’t move. One man put eye drops on her tongue, after that she woke up and ran to the deli. Her ex husband’s phone number was all she could remember. The rape kit shows that two men raped her.

Security footage shows Arlo Gregory was the bartender, he has worked their a couple of years and no complaints. Churlish checks social media and there is a photo of Teddy with Arlo. Benson says to bring Teddy in, Bruno and Churlish are to take the lead on this. Muncy keeps interrupting and Benson gets annoyed.

Bruno and Velasco meet with Teddy who says all them guys g o to jujitsu together.

Teddy says from what he hears, it is about a guy who hooked up with a girl who was sober enough to say yes and had regrets the next day. Teddy has no idea if Arlo is involved. Bruno tells him that he could find, those guys are a hight community.

At Pinwheel Park Diner, Abby recognizes a photo of Arlo that Muncy and Churlish show her. She says she ordered a double tequila not a mixed drinks. The guys who raped her were two dad type guys who sounded like they were from Minnesota or something.

The team meets and Muncy is upset that her brother is on the crime board. Churlish says this seems like a well run business. Two guys from out of town order up a redhead, she gets drugged and hand delivered to their hotel room. Maybe they could test the supply chain and use Teddy as a confidential informant. Benson says that is the first proactive idea she has heard yet. Velasco is not sure if they can trust him. Muncy says if they trust her, can trust him.

Teddy is undercover, he is with Arlo and says his buddy has this thing for this black chick from high school but never got with her. Arlo says he is on shift tomorrow, Teddy shows a photo of Churlish, she is the bait. Benson is not happy, Churlish didn’t ask for permission. Churlish says she did it to impress it and she is an expert dealing with scumbags who underestimate women from working in the Bronx.

At The Long Draught Brewery, Churlish walks in and takes a seat at the bar and orders a double shot of Tequila. She fakes taking the shot when Muncy makes a distraction. Churlish goes to the bathroom and passes out. Benson comes in the bar with Velasco and they show their badges. Muncy goes to the washroom and Curlish is gone, she is barely awake and is in the backseat of a car, she asks the two people in the front where they are taking her, the man says to a party and she is the entertainment.

Churlish didn’t drink, but she did use the lime Arlo gave her and that is what was tainted. Churlish is delivered to the hotel, Teddy is there. The guy who drops her wants to rape her and Teddy won’t let him.

Benson busts into the hotel room, Churlish is on the toilet she took a urine sample for the lab as evidence that she was drugged.

At the home of Sunil Patesh, the guy who took Churlish from the bar, the team go in with tons of backup and arrest him. Patesh turns to Muncy and tells her that her bother is a dead man. Patesh ran the operation, his sister is the one who escorted blacked out women out of bars, his brother is the delivery guy. After a search of the house, they found the date rape drugs. They had a network of bouncers and bartenders who would make money taking the a la cart orders of the black out victims.

At the station, Churlish shows up and Benson tells her she appreciates her work ethic, but she was reckless and almost derailed the whole case. Benson tells her that she needs to know that she is there for the right reasons and not because she wants a promotion. She wants her to lead with empathy and compassion like the rest of her team. From now on she wants team work from her, not perfection.

Churlish has something the two Canadian men that attacked Abby, Interpol has them.

THE END!
