In tonight’s NCIS episode, the body of a Jane Doe was found at a park. She had a Navy tattoo. It made the local cops believe that she could be Navy or perhaps former Navy and so they passed his case to NCIS. NCIS needed help with identifying the victim. She didn’t have ID.

There was also nothing in her car to give them an idea who she was however there were signs that she traveled to a senator’s home. She visited the home of Senator Greyson not long before she died and it wasn’t some seedy affair. The senator was her mother. The victim’s name was Amanda Grayson. She was known as a problematic child.

Amanda could be upbeat one moment or belligerent in the next. She has a drinking problem. She also had an attitude problem. She had gotten expelled from several schools.

She got in trouble with the law and her mom worked out a deal for her to join the Navy. Everyone had hoped the military would give her some much needed discipline. Amanda chose to instead go her own path. She got written up several times for infractions. The Navy was going to discharge her. And she was on CurioCam.

CurioCam was one of those sites that allows their clients to post anything to their subscribers. Only Amanda wasn’t doing porn or even stripping. She was making MSR videos. She had videos of her making soothing noises and that got her thousands of subscribers. There was one guy in particular who gave off the creep vibe. He watched every video Amanda ever posted. He left comments under all of them saying he loved her. He couldn’t wait to be with her. He also mentioned a few threats a couple of times because he didn’t like that she was ignoring him.

The creepy guy’s name is Arthur Vernon. He was married once before. His wife left him because he was psychotic and abusive. She even took out a restraining order against him.

He was the obsessive type. He had a shrine in his apartment building dedicated to Amanda. He was obsessed with her and everyone suspected he was their killer. They brought him for questioning. They asked him about Amanda. They tried to shake him and he was calm. Too calm. He said he was at work at an army supply store.

He said his boss saw him there. They later checked out his alibi. His boss saw him for thirty minutes in a two hour window. He has no idea what Arthur did before or after. They also found out a WWII gas mask had been used on Amanda for several hours. This same mask was on display at Arthur’s job. Arthur was reported to have a fascination with it. The temporary forensic pathologist had sworn that Arthur was their man. Amanda’s mother the senator didn’t entirely trust NCIS. She wanted to take matters into her own hands and she had outside people brought into this investigation.

Miles Bauer was known for working high-profile murders. He was famous. He was considered an expert in his field and yet he was no match for Jimmy. Jimmy found out that Amanda was taking a medication that would mean she ran hot while she was alive. The additional heat also meant their time of death was off. Amanda died hours earlier than their initial findings. Which meant Arthur couldn’t have killed Amanda. He had a stronger alibi earlier that day and there were plenty of witnesses throughout the whole murder window who would claim Arthur was at a doctor’s appointment.

Miles didn’t like being shown up by someone he considers his inferior. Nevermind that back at med school it was Jimmy that was the rising star. It was Jimmy who was sought out by the Mayo Clinic until Miles somehow misplaced the message telling Jimmy his appointment had been moved. Jimmy lost out at the job. Miles went on to become a star and still NCIS followed Jimmy’s lead on the case. They changed the murder window until another woman’s body showed up. This new victim was also on CurioCam. Her name was Lori Nelson.

Lori was killed just like Amanda. Arthur was also missing. The senator assumed that Arthur killed both women and that Jimmy had been wrong about the murder window. The senator was demanding he be fired. Jimmy was benched, but the case wasn’t sitting right with the team. They thought it looked too much like Arthur Vernon. As if someone was setting him up. They kept digging and they found a video that Amanda had saved to her cloud. The video detailed she was sexually abused at her private school for troubled kids.

She was abused by a donor to the school. His name is Raylan Marsh. Marsh was also bankrolling her mother’s fundraising and so it was the senator’s chief of staff that killed Amanda. He didn’t want the Marsh secret coming out or ruining his career with the senator. He confessed to everything. There was also evidence to back it up. He didn’t wear gloves with the second victim and his prescription ointment had gotten on Lori’s remains.

And so Jimmy was telling the truth, but it was Miles who got all the credit in the press.

THE END!
