The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, September 1, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) flashed back to kissing Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in Rome before Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) arrived at Spencer Publications.
Ridge offered updates on Steffy’s decision to take the kids back to live with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) at the cliff house, so Liam didn’t think that was a smart move.
Ridge blamed himself on some level for going along with Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) stupid plan, which resulted in Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) freedom.
However, Liam acted like Finn was the real problem since he was sympathetic to Sheila, who was determined to get her son’s love.
Ridge admitted he liked Finn and respected him. Although Ridge didn’t ask for Steffy to be in a marriage with the “spawn of Satan,” he acknowledged that’s what happened and insisted Steffy was determined to move back in with Finn.
Liam reiterated his safety concerns and confessed that he’d resurrect his relationship with Steffy if given the chance. That said, Liam cared about Steffy regardless and wasn’t convinced that Finn could protect her.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, he tried unsuccessfully to convince Sheila that she shouldn’t push too hard and risk undoing her progress with Finn.
Sheila felt like her life was on hold, so she refused to wait around any longer. After Sheila gushed over Finn and warned that Steffy would never come between them again, she dashed out the door.
At the cliff house, Finn tried to ease Steffy’s lingering concerns about Sheila. Once Finn brought up his visit to Steffy’s ex-husband, he admitted that something Liam said resonated with him.
Liam told Finn that it was his job to make sure Steffy was safe from Sheila, so Finn insisted he’d do everything in his power to protect her and the kids.
After Finn joked with Steffy about the sink full of clothes and takeout boxes under the cutting board, their conversation turned serious again. Steffy wanted the truth about whether Finn and Sheila had been in contact, so he promised he hadn’t heard a word from her.
Even if Finn did hear from Sheila, he assured Steffy that he’d tell her to never bother him or his family again. Finn reiterated that he’d do whatever he could to keep Sheila away from Steffy and the kids, so Steffy believed him.
Once Finn apologized for putting Steffy in such a difficult position, he vowed that she’d never have to deal with Sheila again. Steffy hinted about having some time to reconnect – just the two of them – so Finn liked the sound of that as they prepared to make love.
Outside on Friday’s B&B episode, Sheila’s shadow could be seen as she approached the cliff house. After Sheila popped up at the back, Steffy became uneasy thinking she saw something.
Although Steffy tried to get her passionate encounter with Finn back on track, she for sure caught a glimpse of Sheila and panicked as she alerted him.
