The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B recap for Monday, September 18, teases that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) doesn’t want tension between RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman), Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and Eric Forrester (John McCook). RJ argues that there is no reason for Ridge to worry about Eric.
Ridge shows up in the office after learning RJ is working with Eric. He’s thrilled RJ is designing; Ridge hugs his son and wishes him luck. RJ isn’t sure this is the direction he wants to take his career. He’s enjoying working with his grandfather and learning from such a design legend.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Ridge wants his dad to be happy. He thinks his dad should be content with the mark he left on the design world and not need to create a new line.
RJ tells his dad that Eric isn’t “remotely close” to being ready to retire. Ridge believes RJ has more talent than anyone else in the family – he couldn’t be more proud of him.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric tells Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) that he hasn’t been so inspired in a long time. Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) drops off paperwork for Eric’s signature.
Carter notices all the designs scattered all over the living room. He questions why Eric is doing this. B&B spoilers say that Carter says it’s his job to protect the company’s interest. Eric misunderstands Carter and assumes he is suggesting the younger generation should take over the designing for Forrester Creations.
Carter doesn’t doubt Eric’s expertise. He thinks it’s risky to start a new couture line competing with Ridge’s line. Eric asks Carter to take a leap of faith and believe in him. He’s doing his line alone and plans to compete with Ridge’s line.
After Carter leaves, Eric informs Donna that he hasn’t told Ridge or Carter about his hand tremors. The only people who know about it are RJ, her, and his doctor. Donna expresses concern about the pressure this could put on his health to make his mark with his final line.
Back at Forrester Creations, Hope Logan (Annike Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) are making out. She mentions that she hopes she locked the door. Thomas notes that the wait for Hope was worth it; he’s enjoying the new dynamic of their relationship.
Hope tells Thomas that she’s not in love with him and is not sure she will ever be. She asks him again if he’s okay with it. He’s okay with it as long as she’s in his arms. They get up to get dressed and embrace for one more kiss when Brooke barges into the office.
Brooke has samples she wants Hope to see. She gasps as she sees her daughter in Thomas’s arms, half-naked. Brooke did not expect to see Hope and Thomas “doing whatever they are doing.”
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope says they weren’t doing anything her mom hasn’t done with Ridge in his office. Brooke scoffs at that notion and demands to know where they are heading.
Hope tells her mom she’s unsure where the Thomas thing is going, but they are on the same page. Brooke questions how Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) would feel about this, suggesting Hope misses her life with Spencer.
