The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 23, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) wondered if Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was really ready for marriage, but he insisted he was and tried to put the ring on her finger.
Sheila pulled her hand away, so Bill asked if she didn’t want a future together.
Although Sheila confirmed that she did, she never imagined becoming Mrs. Bill Spencer.
However, Bill assured Sheila that she could have the biggest, grandest wedding of her dreams – or they could just go to city hall if she preferred.
Bill said he didn’t care as long as it happened and vowed to prove all the naysayers wrong.
Since Bill kept talking about how they’d be open and honest with each other, Sheila wanted to be transparent as well and asked what he was really talking about here.
Once Sheila wondered what she had to sign, Bill said there was no need for a prenup or lawyers.
Bill pushed Sheila to put the ring on and say she’d marry him, but Sheila still hesitated.
After Sheila talked about this being a huge step that would alter her future, she wanted to take a drive.
Sheila promised to be back with an answer for Bill soon, so he convinced her to take the ring while she mulled things over.
Bill gave Sheila a kiss and frowned once she headed out the door.
Afterward, Bill spoke to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), who admitted Bill sold his proposal – though he didn’t sell it perfectly. Ridge ranted about Bill putting his own spin on it with all the trust and honesty talk.
Bill said the idea was to lay it on thick, but Ridge fired back that the idea was not to tip Sheila off.
The FBI monitored Sheila’s movement and tracked her to Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, so Bill grumbled and asked if she had to ask Deacon’s permission.
Even so, Ridge and Bill remained focused on their goal of making this engagement happen and getting a murder confession that’d put Sheila away for life.
At Forrester Creations on Thursday’s B&B episode, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) defended Ridge since he had his reasons for staying away right now.
Whatever Ridge was doing was important for himself and the well-being of the family.
Stephen Logan (Patrick Duffy) still wasn’t happy about Ridge disappearing when Sheila was a threat.
Lucy (Linda Purl) also couldn’t understand Bill putting the people he loved at risk through his romance with Sheila.
At Il Giardino, Deacon asked Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) about his date with Brooke, so Hollis admitted Brooke wasn’t ready to put herself out there again and respected that.
That said, Hollis suggested the longer Ridge stayed out of town, the easier it’d be for Brooke to move on.
Deacon seemed skeptical, so Hollis wondered if Deacon thought Ridge had already made his way back to Los Angeles.
As talk turned to Deacon’s mystery woman, Hollis asked if they were no longer together.
Deacon assured Hollis that he was just focused on making Il Giardino a success.
Soon after, Deacon headed back to his apartment and met with Sheila since she had urgent news.
Sheila said Bill did something she thought he’d never do and confirmed that he truly loved her.
Once Sheila revealed that Bill had given her a ring, she added that he wanted her to be Mrs. Bill Spencer.
Sheila showed Deacon the new bling and asked if this was really happening or if it was too good to be true.
