Tonight’s The Voice episode begins with Carson Daly welcoming back the coaches: Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Black Shelton. The live semi-final top performances start now.

Ryley Tate Wilson is with his coach Niall Horan and introduces him to this mother who says his grand-mother got social media so she could follow Ryley. Sometimes Riley has to remind himself that he is 15 years-old. Ryley is singing, “Vienna,” by Billy Joel.

Kelly says way to start the night, the beginning was her favourite with the piano, so beautiful. Blake says the entire performance was great, but he loved the piano as well. Niall says it was unreliable, it takes a lot at 15 to get on live TV and play the piano.

Ray Uriel is next, he is excited and can’t believe he made it to the lives, he is so grateful. Since middle school he has been a huge fan of New Edition and that is why he choose to sing, “Can You Stand the Rain.”

Kelly says it was so good and she loves that this vibe is coming around, his voice is so chill, a sensual vibe and she loves it. Blake says he is a sucker for anything 80’s, killer job. Chance is proud of the performance, he thinks his voice was strong and he was relaxed and confident.

Holy Brand is up, Kelly is so excited because she is going to be singing, “Rumour Has It,” by Reba McEntire. Holy is happy to showcase the story teller side of her.

Niall says that was impeccable, it was very nice. He is a huge fan of hers and is happy that heard more from her tonight. Chance says she killed the whole performance. Kelly is so proud of her, she is so gifted and she loves working with her.

Team Blake’s NOIVA is next, and Blake has never felt more confident about his team. NOIVA Is going to be singing, “Sky Fall,” by Adele, it is the first ballad he has ever sung. Blake wants him to knock this out of the park.

Blake says it was incredible and that is why everyone loves him. I don’t care if we are rehearsing or on TV, it was alway incredible.

Gina Miles says everyone is rooting for her in her small town and it’s boosting her confidence. Niall is so proud of her, she has taken off though the season. Gina is singing, “All I Want,” by Kodaline.

Chance says it was breathtaking, amazing, awesome, he is blown away. Niall says he is so proud of her, the person she has become with all the confidence on the stage – another incredible performance.

Sorelle reveals that their grandmother was a great jazz singer. Chance says he saw them practicing outside in the alley, and would love if they could start acapella. Sorelle is singing, “Falling,” by Alicia Keys.

Kelly says that was incredible, that whole production, she feels like they are like the Vegas show “O.” Chance is blown away, he says it was just crazy, they are always ready to deliver, the choreography.

D. Smooth is next and Kelly says he has his own vibe no matter what he sings. His mother is so glad that America gets to see what they have been seeing his whole life. D. Smooth is singing, “Thinking Out Loud,” by Ed Sheeran.

Blake says he doesn’t know how D. Smooth won’t be voted into the finale, that was incredible, he is cool and unique artist that has to go to the finale. Kelly says she is such a fan, she can’t believe that he picked her as his coach. He is the artist you want to see on tour every night because you know it is going to be different.

Grace West remembers her blinds, when Blake said he related to moving to Nashville, and now it is full circle. She is woman of few words, but seeing Blake confident in her, she feels she has more confidence. Grace is singing, “Til I Make it on My Own,” by Tammy Wynette.

Niall says she is one of his favourite voices, her Tone is unique, every time she opens her mouth country comes out and she should be in the final. Blake says it was unbelievable, and he will be stunned if she is not in the finale.

Niall Horan takes the stage with his newest single, “Meltdown,” from the album “The Show.”

Chance the Rapper hits the stage with Jamar, Manasseh and Kala to perform, “Same Drugs.”

All the votes have been counted, the top eight are on stage; D. Smooth, Holly Brand, Ryley Tate Wilson, Gina Miles, NOIVAS, Grace West, Sorelle (Madi, Ana & Bella) and Ray Uriel.

The first finalist is from Team Blake, Grace West. The second finalist is from Team Kelly, D. Smooth. The third finalist is from team Niall, Gina Miles. The fourth finalist from team Chance is Sorelle. The fifth and last finalist is Team Blake’s NOIVA.

Eliminated: Holly Brand, Ryley Tate Wilson and Ray Uriel.
