The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 9, teases that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will bump into Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) at Crimson Lights, so they’ll acknowledge that they haven’t seen each other in quite some time.
Chelsea will talk about getting through a rough patch and will mention a new project she’s working on.
Summer will discuss some of the family drama she’s been dealing with and admit to firing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), so Chelsea will wish her luck dealing with all that.
When Phyllis shows up, she’ll claim to have a gift for Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez), but she won’t want to bring it to the Abbott house if Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are around.
Phyllis will act like she just remembered about Jack and Diane’s trip, so she’ll fish for info on where they went.
However, Summer will see through the angle Phyllis is working and will wish she’d stop using Harrison in her plots since it’s insulting.
After Summer admits she doesn’t know where Jack and Diane are, she’ll snap that she wouldn’t tell Phyllis even if she did.
Summer will refuse to get caught up in another one of Phyllis’ schemes and will warn her mom to just leave Diane alone.
Once Summer storms out, Chelsea will seem deep in thought over the mother-daughter faceoff and will use it as inspiration for her game idea.
At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will join Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and grill her about her reconnection with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) since he won’t think men like him are capable of change.
After Ashley brings up Billy’s willingness to give Diane another chance, she’ll point out that he’s not trying to make Jack’s romantic decisions for him.
Ashley will think Billy is an “ass” and a true chauvinist since he’ll act like there’s a difference when it comes to his sister.
After Ashley calls out Billy’s disgusting double standards, he’ll admit it’s not his place to judge messy affairs and will hint about his own complicated romantic situation.
Billy will apologize for offending Ashley and will concede that whatever’s going on with Tucker is her business.
When talk turns to Billy contemplating Jack’s Jabot job offer, Ashley will remind him that it’s been a disaster when he worked there before.
Nevertheless, Billy will really want to work with his family at the company their father built.
Ashley will think it sounds like Billy’s taking the job, so he’ll call Jack and leave him a voicemail since he’ll be ready to talk about the proposal.
Next on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Billy will stop by Chelsea’s place and hear how she was inspired after witnessing some family conflict earlier.
Chelsea will explain how she wants to incorporate other kinds of pain and expand what it means for the game.
Billy will also offer updates on how he’s excited about his new endeavor at Jabot.
Although Billy will admit he hasn’t talked to Jack yet, he’ll feel like this is the right time for him to make a difference at his family’s company.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll confront Tucker about taking his offer to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) first. Devon will act like all that talk about him carrying on Tucker’s legacy must’ve been a lie.
Tucker will explain that a new benefactor bought up his debt before Victoria had a chance to make her play.
A still skeptical Devon will think maybe Tucker is just trying to dump his failing company on the nearest sucker.
As Tucker gets emotional, he’ll talk about how this company is all he’s had in his life for a very long time.
Tucker will start to leave, but Devon will admit he’s interested if Tucker’s sincere.
After Devon and Tucker bounce some ideas around, Tucker will push his son to hire him once the sale is complete – even just as an advisor to the CEO.
Devon will ask if Tucker would really give up his company and take a smaller role just to fix their relationship, so Tucker will insist he “absolutely” would.
At the Abbott cabin, Diane will realize Jack is missing, but there’ll be a bouquet and a note about Jack leaving to get dinner for them.
Once Diane falls asleep on the sofa, she’ll dream it’s her wedding day.
In this dream, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will act like his family fairytale is coming true and will put a necklace on Diane that Jack sent as a gift.
There’ll be talk about Harrison the ringbearer before Summer thanks Diane for being like a mother to her – the mother that Phyllis could never be!
Diane will urge Summer to call her “Mom” and will hug her before Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) appears.
Traci will gush over how she’s going to write a romance novel based on Jack and Diane’s love story, which has already been optioned in Hollywood and will be made into a big movie.
After Traci says she’ll call it The Return of the Perfect Woman, Diane will be thrilled.
Ashley will also make an appearance in this dream, so she’ll apologize for being so unfair and will tell Diane that she loves her.
There’ll be a group hug as Diane looks forward to being an Abbott – and she’ll even get Ashley to agree to be her maid of honor.
Unfortunately, the dream will become a true nightmare when everyone disappears and Diane realizes she’s wearing Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) stolen necklace.
Diane will also answer the door thinking it’s Jack, but she’ll wake up startled once Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) appears in her nightmare instead.
At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will join Kyle at the bar, but he’ll have to rush off soon after.
Once Kyle leaves his phone behind, Phyllis will sneak a peek and see that a flower delivery was made for Abbott at Twin Lakes.
Phyllis will quickly call the cabin, so Diane will pick up and wonder if Jack’s on the other end.
The silence will leave Diane worried it’s Jeremy instead, so she’ll be spooked as Phyllis hangs up without a word.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will text Jeremy with the news that she found Diane and Jack, so more trouble’s brewing!
