The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 19, reveals that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will arrive at Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) penthouse and hint about a surprise that he wants to show her.
After Daniel leads Lily to an apartment downstairs, he’ll get her approval on him moving in.
Daniel will be relieved since he already signed the paperwork, but he’ll feel confident he could’ve persuaded Lily if she’d been against the idea.
There’ll be plenty of flirting and kissing as Daniel suggests a little private housewarming party later – just the two of them.
At the GCAC, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will join Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) at a table while he waits for his food. Since Phyllis will be in such a good mood, Danny will wonder what’s gotten into her.
Phyllis will admit she scraped the last of a bad connection off her shoe, but she’ll decline to share more and will push Danny to just be happy for her.
Once Danny’s order comes out, Phyllis will have the waiter put it in a to-go container and give her an identical order as well.
Soon after, Phyllis will have a picnic with Danny in the park and admit the conversation they had recently really helped her.
The past is over and the future hasn’t happened yet, so Phyllis will be all about living in the moment.
Once Lily and Daniel come along, they’ll talk to Danny and Phyllis about Daniel’s new apartment in Lily’s building.
Daniel will mention that there’s a spare room for Danny, who’ll wonder if he could use it for an extended stay since he was thinking of sticking around longer GC than expected.
After Daniel insists Danny can have the room as soon as it’s ready, Phyllis will mention the idea of throwing a housewarming bash. Daniel will be fine with that as long as it’s not tonight.
Instead, Phyllis, Daniel, Lily and Danny will all agree to meet up for drinks later.
Next on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have an important meeting with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) mental state.
Nick will offer updates on Victor getting confused about who was running Newman Media and forgetting that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby girl with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) didn’t survive.
Although Nikki will suggest that it could be the typical memory loss associated with getting older, she’ll still seem uneasy.
Nick will understand Victoria’s earlier warnings now and will think they have to do whatever it takes to get Victor some help.
Afterward, Nick will speak privately with Victoria, who’ll sense that something else is going on with him. Although Nick will admit his relationship with Sally is over, he’ll want to focus on Victor right now.
Victoria will suggest they need a cover story when they approach Victor with their concerns, but Nick will think they need to be honest and tackle the problem head-on.
At Society, Victor will find Adam sitting at a table, so Adam will greet him and mention some of the work he’s doing as Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) assistant.
Once Victor warns Adam not to insult his intelligence, he’ll act like he’s onto Adam’s game and will rant about all the times he defended his son to everyone.
Adam will insist he’s starting at the bottom like they talked about, but Victor’s outburst will escalate as he snaps that he’s done and fires Adam on the spot.
Afterward, Adam will look bewildered as Victor sits at a nearby table – and he’ll be even more perplexed when Victor seemingly forgets the confrontation ever happened once Nate arrives.
Nate will praise the work that Adam’s doing, so Victor will act like that’s good news and will suggest that he’ll see both of them back at the office.
Adam will privately fill Nate in on the bizarre behavior he witnessed, but Nate won’t reach the same level of concern as Victor’s children yet.
That said, Nate will hint about going into protective mode when it comes to Victor’s well-being – and Adam will think that goes for Newman Enterprises as well.
Back with Nikki, she’ll sit down with Victor at Society and tell him about the incidents Nick mentioned at their meeting this morning.
Victor will claim Nick must’ve been confused, but Nikki will argue that Nick and Victoria fear he’s the one who’s confused instead.
After Victor assures Nikki there’s no reason to worry, she’ll ask if this has something to do with Victor’s plan to test his children. Nikki will contend that if that’s the case, then the plan is just too cruel.
Victor will explain that he only wants to find the traitor, so Nikki will insist that it’s going to be Adam! As for how Victor intends to pull off his goal, he’ll remain vague on the details.
Once Nikki finds Adam at the office later, he’ll ask if she’s noticed anything off with Victor and express his fears. Nikki will wonder why Adam thinks she’d tell him anything, but he’ll contend that they both care about his father.
However, Nikki won’t think Adam truly cares about Victor at all and will suggest it’s just about what Victor can do for him.
After Nikki reminds Adam of her previous warning, she’ll reiterate that she’ll destroy him if he tries to hurt or undermine Victor.
Nikki will fully expect that’s what Adam has planned, so she’ll refuse to stand by and watch him break Victor’s heart.
In Victor’s office, Nick and Victoria will get honest about their worries regarding Victor’s forgetfulness and confusion.
Victor will point the finger at Victoria and act like she’s convinced Nick that he’s mentally unstable due to her own desire to reclaim the throne.
Victoria will deny that, but Victor will refuse to tolerate backstabbing and will throw her out of his office along with Nick.
Adam will eavesdrop on that last part and look unsettled over the whole situation.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor’s scheme could bring some unexpected complications, so stay tuned.
