The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, March 29 – Billy & Chelsea Kiss – Jeremy Preps Phyllis for Final Step

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 29, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will drag Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) off Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) pulls her mom to the side as well.

Jack, Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will all wonder what’s going on, but Phyllis will think it’s obvious that Diane was trying to kill her.

Once Summer takes sputtering Phyllis out in the hall following the strangling drama, she’ll ask how her mom wound up clashing with Diane in a suite.

Phyllis will claim she wanted to work things out and will blame Diane for turning it into a showdown, but Summer will act like this is the same old story.

Since Phyllis will feel like Summer never believes her side, she’ll warn her daughter to stay away from her and will take off.

Meanwhile, Jack and Kyle will get Diane’s version of events, so she’ll rant about Phyllis luring her up there by acting like Kyle was sick.

After Jack suggests they shouldn’t announce their engagement tonight, Diane will refuse to let Phyllis ruin this and will insist she’s fine.

When Diane goes to freshen up, Jack will admit to Kyle that he just saw a version of Diane that he thought was long gone.

Kyle will ask if Jack’s having second thoughts about the engagement, but Jack won’t know what to think.

Although Jack will know he loves Diane and wants to spend the rest of his life with her, he’ll worry about moving too fast and putting too much pressure on Diane.

Kyle will acknowledge that Diane’s reaction was extreme, but he’ll also admit he would’ve been pushed over the edge too if someone lied to him about Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) like that.

Since Diane’s adrenaline was pumping with concern for her son, Kyle and Jack will somewhat understand.

When Diane joins Jack and Kyle downstairs, she’ll explain how she thought Phyllis was telling the truth about sick Kyle since he didn’t text back.

Kyle will realize he lost his phone again, so he’ll wonder about it while Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) finds it at the bar.

Audra will interrupt Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) evening with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to ask if they know anything about the phone’s owner.

Ashley will act like it’s such fun meeting Tucker’s co-conspirator and will admit that phone belongs to Kyle.

Since Audra has been looking for a reason to make Kyle’s acquaintance, she’ll opt to give the phone back herself.

That’ll lead to Audra exchanging introductions with Kyle, but Summer will call her out for emotionally destroying her brother.

Audra will insist thta happened with Noah Newman (Joshua Morrow) was a complicated situation, but Summer will thank her for the phone and send Audra on her way.

Once Kyle checks his texts and sees that Diane indeed sent a concerned one, he’ll be sorry for doubting her.

Jack will be sorry as well and will decide their engagement announcement should proceed if Diane can forgive him.

Diane will assure Jack that no forgiveness is necessary before they share a kiss.

Once Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Gina Roma (Patty Weaver) walk in the party, they’ll catch up with some familiar faces.

Gina will also call Danny’s attention to the flying sparks between Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as they dance nearby.

Danny will interrupt before Daniel has a chance to kiss Lily and will warn him about needing to build a new foundation for himself.

It’ll seem like Danny’s concerned about Daniel rebounding with Lily after his rough patch with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), but Danny will want to handle his own personal life.

Danny will accept that and butt out, but he’ll hope Daniel can find a way past all his issues with Phyllis.

After Danny urges Daniel to accept Phyllis for who she is, Daniel will vow to work things out with his mom – just not tonight.

Over with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), she’ll give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a pep talk about him being able to co-parent with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) successfully, but Adam won’t seem to share her optimism.

Back with Jack, he’ll hint about some fun news and invite everyone to file into the lounge for updates.

Although Jack will realize the ring is missing from his pocket, he’ll suggest it’ll turn up or else he’ll just buy Diane another one.

Jack will think the love that ring represents is what matters most.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will assure Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that he wants to be there with her and not back at the party.

Chelsea and Billy will both be glad they have a chance to know the people they’ve become.

When Chelsea decides it’s time to head home, Billy will stop her and let her know how beautiful she looked tonight.

Chelsea will share a kiss with Billy as they wrap up their evening together.

Back at the gala on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will be looking cozy as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) arrives and stares at them.

Outside, Devon will ask if Abby is sure she doesn’t want to stick around for Jack’s big announcement, but she’ll act like news travels fast in Genoa City.

When Amanda pops up, she’ll insist it certainly does!

Up in Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) suite, he’ll tell Phyllis that he heard her scuffle with Diane was a masterful performance.

Jeremy will show off the ring he stole from Jack and ask if Phyllis is ready for the hardest, most important part.

Phyllis will assure Jeremy that she’s indeed ready and will add that there’s no turning back now.

In the lounge, Jack will make a speech about Genoa City being a place where people can grow and transform.

After Jack praises Diane’s transformation, he’ll talk about grabbing onto happiness and will admit Diane agreed to marry him.

After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) asks if Sally’s OK, she’ll marvel over seeing someone so sure about real love.

Adam will raise a glass to Sally as he looks over her way.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will predict Jack’s relationship with Diane will blow up in spectacular fashion while Ashley decides to leave with Tucker over the sickening announcement.

Once Phyllis starts sarcastically cheering for Diane and Jack, she’ll saunter in and slow-clap for the future Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott.

Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will try to save the awkward moment by getting everyone to clap for real, but Phyllis will continue to glare at Jack and Diane.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Jeremy have more chaos in store, so stay tuned to Y&R.
