The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers sneak peek for the week of March 27-31 teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will share some exciting news with everyone at the bicentennial bash. The Talk put out a new preview clip, so let’s talk about the drama that’s about to go down.
Although Diane and Jack delayed their announcement after Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) jazz lounge was unveiled, they’ll eventually move forward with their plans.
Jack will proudly reveal that he proposed to Diane, who accepted his offer of marriage and intends to make him the happiest man alive.
There should be a little hiccup due to Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) stealing the ring from Jack’s pocket, but Diane and Jack will be too in love to care.
Jack may insist he can buy Diane an even better ring and argue that making Diane his wife is all that really matters.
As Diane and Jack kiss in front of the whole party, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will think she’s going to be sick to her stomach.
Tucker will suggest they should “get the hell out” of there, so Ashley will decide he’s absolutely right.
However, there’ll be an unexpected interruption before Ashley and Tucker can make a quick getaway.
It’ll be Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) who descends the staircase and starts sarcastically cheering for love.
Phyllis will turn this into a total spectacle and mock the engagement announcement in a wild hysterical fashion as everyone looks on.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Eric Braeden) will seem taken aback along with the rest of the key players at this big event.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will also be on hand to witness Phyllis’ public display of disdain.
It’ll probably leave Summer disgusted in some ways and genuinely concerned for her mom’s mental state in others.
Once Phyllis finishes shouting her fake enthusiasm, she’ll lower her voice and make herself sound rather menacing.
Phyllis will be the center of attention as she apparently carries out the next phase of Jeremy’s plan.
“Let’s hear it for the future Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott,” Phyllis declares as she slow claps dramatically in Y&R’s sneak peek video.
