The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will become more and more convinced that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) pulled off an elaborate plot with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and lived to tell the tale.
Although Chance initially doubted the idea of Phyllis faking her death, the evidence is becoming hard to ignore.
Chance is a pretty logical guy, so he has to keep an open mind and trust his instincts when they steer him in a new direction.
Unfortunately, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) refuses to believe what she views as a desperate act from those in Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) corner.
Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are working hard to prove Diane is innocent, but Christine’s stuck on old “facts” when she needs to be looking at the big picture.
After Chance updates Christine on Jack’s new DNA evidence, he’ll try to bring her around to his way of thinking.
Chance will hope to win Christine over and help her see that they can’t take Diane down for murder when Phyllis isn’t even dead.
Christine will grow frustrated with Chance and his belief in this Phyllis theory, so they’ll eventually reach an impasse.
Since Chance will refuse to cooperate, Christine will apparently have him fired from the case.
However, Y&R spoilers say that won’t deter Chance when it comes to his investigation.
Christine will simply force Chance into a situation where he has to go rogue and figure out the real story without her approval.
Of course, Chance will have to be sneaky about his next steps, but he’ll be free to dig around as long as Christine doesn’t know what he’s up to.
Chance could set a trap for Phyllis at some point and try to prove she’s alive, which could lead to her arrest if it all pans out.
For now, Chance and Christine’s disagreement will escalate before sending Chance down a risky new path during the week of May 22-26.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis had better watch her back once Chance takes matters into his own hands, so stay tuned for news on his findings!
