The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) could be headed for more trouble thanks to this whole ankle monitor situation. There’s surely a reason why Y&R writers chose to put Diane on house arrest instead of allowing her to roam around town freely.
Of course, it may be partly to make Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) uncomfortable since she knows Diane didn’t actually kill Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
The more time Summer has to spend around Diane, the tougher it’ll be to keep the secret.
However, there could be another reason for Diane’s house arrest, especially now that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is living at the Abbott mansion, too.
Tucker would do just about anything to score points with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), who’ll hate the fact that Diane’s out on bail and living under the Abbott roof again.
It looks like Tucker will offer Diane a chance to disappear with his help and avoid a trial, but Diane may turn him down immediately since she doesn’t want to leave Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Will Tucker and Ashley settle on a different strategy instead?
The new goal could be getting Diane to violate the terms of her bail agreement so that she gets sent back to jail to await trial.
Y&R is already focusing on this ankle monitor like it’s going to be important to the plot.
It wouldn’t be that hard to set a trap for Diane and trick her into leaving the Abbott property.
Ashley and Tucker might scheme to make it seem like Harrison has wandered off and landed in danger.
There might be some scenario where Diane feels she has to put Harrison’s safety first and take that ankle monitor out of range.
The fallout of a plan like this could be disastrous since Diane would be hauled off to jail again.
Kyle hates when his son gets used as a pawn, so he would be doubly furious over Ashley and Tucker setting Diane up.
Jack would unleash his fury as well, so it’d be interesting to see Tucker and Ashley pull off a trap that results in Diane’s bail being violated.
