The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, January 16 Recap – Billy & Adam’s Nasty Showdown – Summer Panics Over Grand Larceny

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, January 16, teases that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will talk to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) about his decision to buy back Hamilton-Winters and trust his instincts.

After Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) texts Devon asking for 10 minutes of his time, Abby will push Devon to meet with him since Tucker is obnoxiously persistent.

Telling Tucker off in person will be the only way to get rid of him in Abby’s opinion.

Devon will text back that he’ll give Tucker five minutes instead, so Tucker will show up with a heartfelt speech later.

Although Tucker will try to help Devon understand that he truly wanted to work alongside him, Devon will insist Tucker keeps going about it in all the wrong ways.

Tucker will be desperate to fix things between them on Monday’s Y&R episode, but Devon will shut down that idea and warn him to get out of his house.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will bump into Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei), so there’ll be plenty of awkwardness.

Once Chelsea returns upstairs, Billy will exit while Lily decides she should get some rest at home.

Daniel will assure Lily that he’s there for her anytime and will point out that it’s good to have someone to vent to.

At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will grill Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about his collusion with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so Victor will admit they discussed family issues and Adam’s role at Jabot.

Adam won’t think Kyle can be objective when it comes to him and will end up bickering with Victor father to father.

Victor will act like he’s tried to be better than his own father and give his children what they needed, but Adam will think his dad’s a hypocrite.

When Victor brings up Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and hopes Adam’s son never treats him this way, Adam will think it’s low to bring his child into this. Victor will eventually storm out before Adam spots Billy at the bar.

Billy won’t be in the mood to take jabs at each other, but Adam will goad him about Chelsea anyway.

After Adam acts like Billy is taking advantage of the situation, he’ll suggest Billy gets a thrill out of being Chelsea’s savior.

Billy will eventually jump up and repeat his warning to back off before blaming Chelsea’s problems on Adam.

Abby will finally break things up before this turns into a total brawl, so Adam will agree to leave.

At Chelsea’s apartment, she’ll open the door to Adam and suspect something is bothering him.

Adam will act like he’s just checking on Chelsea, but he’ll spot the movie snacks and seem to realize she was watching a flick with Billy.

Chelsea will convince Adam to leave since she was just about to go to bed, but he’ll still look irritated as he steps out in the hallway.

At The Glam Club, Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will want to tag along and help Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) with the theft in Chicago.

Diane will push Jeremy to trust her, so he’ll ultimately relent – though he’ll want to take her upstairs for a nightcap before she takes off.

However, Diane will act like she’s on a strict timetable and will delay the celebration until after the crime’s committed.

At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will get updates on Kyle’s meeting with Victor.

Kyle will admit that Victor wants help setting Adam up for an epic failure and getting him fired from Jabot.

Summer will be taken aback over Kyle’s news since he didn’t agree to the plan, but he didn’t shut it down either.

Kyle will point out that Victor seemingly just wants Adam back in the Newman fold, but Summer won’t think deceit and manipulation are the way to make that happen.

If Victor has a way to send Adam packing, Kyle will think he should listen.

Nevertheless, Summer will warn Kyle that getting involved with Victor is a slippery slope.

When Diane shows up after her meeting with Jeremy, Summer will worry she could’ve been followed and will fret over the continued risks Kyle’s mom is bringing for all of them.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will eventually come home with an expensive necklace he stole from Nikki and Victor’s apartment in Chicago, so Summer will recognize it as her grandmother’s.

Kyle will try to explain the plan to help Diane prove herself to Jeremy, and Jack will assure Summer that they can return the necklace before Nikki ever finds out.

Although Jack will act like they merely borrowed it, Summer will rant about grand larceny and won’t want to be part of this scheme – nor will she want Kyle any more involved.

While Kyle chases after Summer, Jack will reassure Diane that their plan will work.

Diane will believe Jack, who’ll be impressed over the whole new layer of courage he’s seen in her.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Diane will kiss passionately as the episode wraps up, so stay tuned for some sizzling moments.
