The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the clues are piling up when it comes to Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) faked death. Phyllis is plotting with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and hopes to make Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) pay for all the misery she’s caused, so that’s going to involve some drastic moves.
Based on behind-the-scenes pics of the cast in dark clothing, there seems to be a funeral or memorial service coming up.
Many of Y&R’s key players gathered to film some group scenes that’ll air in the not-too-distant future.
A fuzzy portrait of Phyllis can seemingly be seen on the monitor in some other leaked photos.
It certainly looks like everyone will show up to mourn Phyllis, but she obviously won’t be dead for real!
The logical conclusion is that Phyllis’ faked demise is on the way – and the recent dialogue backs up that news.
Phyllis told Jeremy that this was a life and DEATH situation for her, so it could be building to a seemingly grim fate.
Likewise, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) warned Phyllis that she needed her to stop or she needed her GONE.
It felt like another major anvil and something Summer will ultimately regret saying when she finds out Phyllis “died.”
Of course, Phyllis’ faked death may not be the current plan with Jeremy. It’s possible it’ll be a last resort or some alternative solution that comes up in the heat of the moment.
Phyllis will take charge during the week of March 27-31, so she could try to salvage things after her plot with Jeremy goes awry.
Then again, Phyllis seemed quite affected by that comment Summer made about wanting her gone, so maybe she’s already planning to grant Summer’s wish.
There’s even a chance Jeremy will hold Phyllis hostage somewhere if their partnership turns sour since he’s fixated on Diane’s takedown.
If Phyllis has a change of heart and tries to wiggle out of this, Jeremy may not let her.
Whatever the case, there are too many “fatal” hints to ignore when it comes to Phyllis, so she may end up presumed dead while Diane gets blamed for it.
