The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn’s (Sean Carrigan) storyline was left dangling when he went on the run. Viewers will recall how Stitch held pregnant Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) hostage and tried to play the hero.
Stitch had been struggling a great deal ever since Abby Newman-Abbott’s (Melissa Ordway) miscarriage and the eventual end of their relationship.
Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze) also wasn’t doing well, but that didn’t stop Stitch from stealing his son from his facility once the cops were after him.
Now Stitch and Max are on the run somewhere, but why?
Y&R writers could’ve just thrown Stitch in prison, but they left him as a lingering threat – one that could easily resurface.
It might be a good time to put Stitch back into the mix, especially with Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) on the verge of adopting a baby.
That could stir up all kinds of fears for Mariah and offer a reminder of the trauma she went through during the surrogacy.
Mariah might worry that Stitch could come after her newly adopted baby with Tessa if he’s gone off the rails even further.
Of course, Abby’s child might be even more of a target under the circumstances.
Stitch might target Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) for a kidnapping, especially if Max’s death becomes a factor.
That’s the kind of thing that could really sink Stitch to his lowest point yet and drive him to steal Dominic in his grief.
Stitch might want to start over with little Dom if he can’t bear the pain of losing Max.
It’s always nice when Sean Carrigan pops back in for a visit, so maybe Y&R should get another stint in the works.
The show really needs to close the door on the whole Stitch situation so that fans don’t have to wonder about him anymore.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) wasn’t around to help when Stitch was around last time, so this could be his opportunity to pitch in.
It might be a good way for Chance, Abby and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to move beyond all the tension.
A common goal could unite the three of them if they’re focused on protecting Dominic or even rescuing him following a snatching.
Regardless, Stitch needs to make a comeback, so stick with us for updates on his potential return and all the chaotic news it could lead to.
