The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the week of March 20-24 brought plenty of excitement. There was one performer who really stole the show – and that was Mishael Morgan as the formidable Amanda Sinclair!
Amanda came out swinging at the arbitration hearing and told no lies when it came to putting Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in his place.
It was great to see Morgan in tough-as-nails attorney mode since it gave her some awesome material to work with.
After Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) interrupted with big news and brought the arbitration to a halt, Morgan played Amanda’s interaction with Devon perfectly.
Devon tried to whine about Amanda’s treatment of him, but her mostly calm anger cut like a knife and drove home her disappointment about the man he turned out to be.
Of course, Amanda’s scenes with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) were a delight to watch as well.
Morgan sold Amanda’s blasé attitude about Abby’s apologies and excuses since Amanda had found a way past caring.
Instead of ripping into Abby, Morgan once again played more restrained anger.
We particularly enjoyed Morgan’s line delivery when Amanda told Abby to let the “grownups” figure this out.
It was nice to have Amanda back on our screens, especially this feisty side of her.
It almost makes us wish Devon had cheated on Amanda sooner so she could’ve had this energy long before now.
This version of Amanda Sinclair would’ve made her twin sister proud!
There’ll never be another Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan), but Amanda certainly brought the drama and had more of a Hilary-ish vibe than her past stints.
Let’s hope Morgan will find other reasons to make the return trip to Genoa City.
We’d love to see Amanda fighting other fierce legal battles and maybe even finding new love down the road.
