In tonight’s 9-1-1 episode, a group of armed men boarded the cruise ship. They had already abducted a woman. They boarded a ship because they thought a man was a renowned jewel thief and they were unfortunately wrong. They targeted the wrong couple.

They didn’t have millions of dollars on a dongle. The guy with the dongle was Julian. He was the cruise ship’s activities director.

He wasn’t supposed to have an affair with any of the guests. He ignored that to sleep with Lola and these two were the real smugglers. They were the ones with the money. Athena figured it out. She told the bad guys about it. They got their money and they left the ship.

Athena arrested Lola as well as Julian. Athena’s husband administered first aide to Norman. Norman wasn’t in on the thefts nor was he getting rich.

He thought they were living on cruises to save money. He didn’t know his wife or her lover were sitting on millions. If he survives the gunshot wound, he could live long enough to divorce her. The cruise ship was heading back to California. They thought the worst was over and they proved to be wrong about that. Julian escaped custody on the boat.

Some guy made a big stink about not being allowed to use the casino. The security guard was dealing with that when Julian made his escape. He was now running amuck on the ship. There was also another situation. The bad guys had destroyed their computers.

They were navigating in the blind. They had to reboot their system. They just about did that when they found the bomb. The bad guys planted a bomb as well on the ship. They probably didn’t want anyone to survive long enough to identify them.

Only it had been a full cruise ship. The bomb also didn’t go off right away. It happened when night fell. It happened when they weren’t that far off from the United States.

Norman desperately needed surgery. The bomb then goes off and the ship starts sinking. Athena had caught up to Julian only they quickly became concerned about surviving.

Everyone on that ship was concerned about surviving. It was one thing to have drills about what to do in case of the ship going down and an actual problem when they tell people to head to the lifeboats. Panic sets in.

Athena and Julian were on their way back when the bomb went off. Their exit was blocked. They tried using a different exit because the one thing that Athena could count on was that Julian didn’t want to die. She made him lead her out of the mess.

They were finding a way around the debris when they came across the ship’s captain. She had been injured in the blast. She said the lifeboats can’t go off with the ship careening. She told Athena how to fix it. She couldn’t do it herself because her arm as well as several ribs were broken.

Athena chose to let Julian go to focus on what needed to be done. Back on the mainland, Hen got in trouble. She and the firefighters got called to the scene of a car accident. There was one guy who was acting belligerent. He was refusing medical treatment.

Hen said let him be because she thought he was drunk. She thought he caused the accident. She let the police detain him and he later stopped breathing. He died. He was Kyle Ortiz. He was the son of Councilwoman Olivia Ortiz. She was making a big stink because she wanted someone to blame for her son’s death.

Hen was in charge. So, she’s the one that got suspended. She also learned that Chimney didn’t back her up. She had smelled alcohol on Kyle and he didn’t back it up.

He told her that he didn’t smell anything. He thought that Hen made a bad call. He didn’t fully blame her for someone’s death. He just didn’t defend her either. They were best friends and he didn’t defend her. Hen was so angry at him that she didn’t even go to him for help when she saw that Athena and Bobby’s cruise ship had disappeared.

Hen went to Maddie for assistance. She normally would have gone to Chimney for help. Maddie was doing her best to reassure her that the couple were probably fine while the couple themselves were struggling to survive. Bobby went after Athena. They fixed the ship.

They got trapped in a compartment together. The water started to rise. They had saved everyone else and were going to die when by some miracle Julian showed up to save the day. He got Athena and Bobby out of the flooded room. And they all rushed back upstairs.

Sure, one guy was threatening to sue because he didn’t cash out his chips at the casino. His lawsuit will probably be a part of a much larger class action lawsuit against the cruise line. Hen meanwhile was allowed to return to work. She had been right about Kyle.

He was high on drugs during the car accident. Her boss was telling her she could return to work when she reported the missing cruise ship to him. She tried to get his help and he refused to listen. He said they served Los Angeles. Not Mexico.

He told her to report in to work like nothing happened. She ignored him to call Mexico’s 911 dispatch. She found several calls were made to them from the cruise ship when the calls got dropped. The calls dropped around the same time that the cruise ship went off line. Hen decided to pursue this right as the cruise ship ran into a storm. And got knocked off course by a major wave.

THE END!
