The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 6, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will meet with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at the ranch to discuss her new Chancellor job.
Since Claire will have to break the news to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that she can’t take care of Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) anymore, she’ll be a little nervous about that.
Nikki will offer reassurance and assume Kyle will be happy that Claire’s going after what she wants.
Although Kyle isn’t a big fan of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) these days, Nikki will remind Claire that she’s working for her instead.
At Society on Friday’s Y&R episode, Summer will have breakfast with Kyle as they go over Harrison’s schedule.
After Kyle updates Summer on his return to Jabot, she’ll congratulate him.
Kyle will tell Summer about his parents’ ruse to make him see Victor’s true colors, so Summer will find it extreme and worry about Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) influence on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
When Victor pops up and requests a moment alone with Kyle, he’ll taunt him over Mommy handing over the keys to the kingdom.
Victor will basically warn Kyle that Diane can’t be trusted and will hint about a timebomb that’ll eventually go off in the Abbott household.
After Victor offers a reminder that he plays the long game, he’ll end the conversation.
Once Claire calls Kyle and asks to meet about something in person, he’ll sense that it’s important.
Diane will arrive and hope to catch Kyle up on everything at work, but he’ll feel like he should meet Claire at the coffeehouse right away.
Back with Victor, he’ll warn Diane that her family will never truly be whole again.
Victor will also insist he knew about Jack and Diane’s ruse since she overplayed her hand by asking for Glissade.
As for what the future holds, Victor will make a prediction about Jack and Kyle seeing who Diane really is eventually.
At the ranch, Jack will show support for Nikki now that she’s running Chancellor.
There’ll be some talk about Jack saving Nikki’s life by getting her in rehab, so he won’t regret that despite the Victor conflict it led to.
Jack won’t know if he can forgive Victor for the family drama he caused this time around, but Nikki will highlight the importance of their friendship.
When Victor appears and kicks up a fuss over Jack’s presence, Jack will mention that he bought up the Glissade divisions that Victor was selling for cheap and will thank him for the discount.
At Crimson Lights, Claire will spot Summer, who’ll launch a story about Harrison’s Christmas list and the fun family morning she was part of.
Summer will also play up her breakfast with Kyle and act like Harrison loves it when his parents get along.
Claire will mention that she’s got some news, so Summer will guess this is about her leaving the nanny job to work for Nikki.
Summer will point out that Harrison’s going to be upset, but Claire will still plan on being in his life.
After Summer assumes that’s because of Claire’s relationship with Kyle, she’ll ultimately acknowledge that being the nanny and Kyle’s girlfriend are two different things.
Summer will keep taking little jabs – and when Kyle shows up, she’ll spill about Claire leaving the nanny position instead of letting Claire tell him first.
Kyle will be caught off guard, but he’ll show his support as Summer glares at them holding hands.
After Kyle makes it clear that Claire will still be part of Harrison’s life, he’ll suggest she’s becoming a bigger part of his life, too.
Summer will continue to offer up a weird attitude, so privately Kyle and Claire will discuss her seeming jealous once she’s gone.
While Claire and Kyle kiss in the coffeehouse, a disguised Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will pop up to witness it.
The sight of the lip lock will leave Jordan looking rather horrified as she takes her sunglasses off around the corner.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jordan will cause plenty of trouble for Claire in the coming weeks, so don’t miss what’s in store!
