The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 9, reveals that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will receive some huge news from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) regarding the toxicology report.
Once Michael heads to Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case), he’ll inform her as well as Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that PCP was added to the pill bottle sometime after the prescription was filled.
Since it’s unlikely that this was accidental, Michael will suggest that someone intentionally coated the medication with PCP to target Sharon.
When Sharon learns PCP can cause hallucinations, memory loss, paranoia and aggressive behavior, she’ll realize it all makes sense.
The PCP is what was driving Sharon to act the way she was acting.
Nevertheless, Sharon will be carrying a lot of guilt over Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) since this explanation doesn’t change her grim fate.
Sharon will want some time to contemplate this new information and what her plea’s going to be.
Although Michael, Nick and Mariah will have concerns about Sharon going out by herself, she’ll promise not to go far and will just want to be alone in the fresh air.
Once Sharon makes her way to the park, she’ll think back to her blackout at Heather’s place and to seeing bright lights behind her on the road recently.
Sharon will struggle to make sense of who would be targeting her.
Nick will have questions of his own as he continues to debate all this with Michael and Mariah.
Since Sharon could still be in danger, Nick will want to figure out who’s behind the pill sabotage and why.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will gripe to Ian Ward (Ray Wise) about Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) romance with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) before talk turns to what Nick set in motion.
Ian will flip out over the police finding out about the PCP and will hold Jordan responsible.
Jordan will refuse to accept any blame and will ultimately think it’s time for Ian to take his turn roaming around Genoa City.
Once Jordan reminds Ian of their crisscross agreement, she’ll push him to do his part or else she’ll bring this whole enterprise down on him.
Ian won’t like having his hand forced, but he’ll agree to go score info on Claire, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck).
Jordan will make another deal with Ian and promise to figure out a solution to their hiccup in the Sharon case.
Meanwhile, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will pop over to the Abbott mansion and convince Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that they should be the ones to tell Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) about Claire leaving the nanny position.
Kyle will note that Claire wanted to handle that, but Summer will insist it’s best for Harrison’s parents to present a united front and talk to him first.
Once Summer updates Kyle on her split from Chance, Harrison will come downstairs and hear about Claire’s new job working for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Although Harrison will seem sad at first, he’ll perk up once Kyle assures him that Claire will still be part of his life.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Harrison will gush about how much he loves Claire and how he’d be bummed to never see her again.
At Society later, Kyle will tell Claire that they already spilled the nanny departure news to Harrison since Summer thought it was best.
Claire will seem hurt over Kyle going along with what Summer wanted when she specifically asked to tell Harrison herself.
Although Kyle will manage to smooth things over, this betrayal could set the stage for more situations where he relents to Summer.
Our predictions hint that Summer will definitely find new ways to come between Kyle and Claire, so stay tuned.
