The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could potentially find himself in familiar territory with a new marriage proposal. Adam has popped the question for the wrong reasons before and could easily be on the verge of doing that once again.
Y&R fans know Adam sometimes feels guilty for unloading his fears and concerns on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but she’s been a real rock for him during Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) crisis.
With so much uncertainty going on with Connor, Adam might find himself eager to propose to Sally and lock in his anchor.
Of course, one of Connor’s biggest issues is that he feels like a burden to his family – especially his parents.
Connor often thinks Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) would’ve been better off if he was never even born.
Since Connor’s struggling to find the right meds and having a hard time with his therapy, his self-worth problems are at an all-time high right now.
Connor can’t help but feel like he’s making life difficult for Chelsea and Adam, so he wishes he could just be normal.
Adam and Chelsea have been desperately trying to convince Connor that they love him no matter what.
It’s true that Chelsea and Adam are stressed over Connor’s ordeal, but that’s only because they want to be able to protect their son from all this pain.
At some point, Adam might start thinking about how he can prove Connor isn’t dragging him down.
Perhaps Adam will hope that by sharing some good news from home, it could help Connor cope.
If Adam embraces that mentality, could he buy an engagement ring for Sally and propose for the wrong reasons?
Adam might ask Sally to tie the knot and force her to reject him if she suspects this is more about Connor than actually wanting to wed.
Sally might argue it’s still a little early in their romantic reunion to be thinking about marriage – at least from her perspective.
Naturally, Sally could assure Adam that she isn’t going anywhere and that she wants to continue to support him.
That said, Sally may not think it’s the right time for an engagement, particularly one that’s an effort to prove something to Connor.
Our Y&R predictions point to Adam and Sally having a few more romantic bumps in the road eventually, so we’ll bring you updates on what’s ahead for this couple.
