The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, May 28, reveal that Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will continue to have major concerns about Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) sobriety. As Diane spins out over the possibility of Jack’s relapse, she’ll relay her fears.
Of course, there’s a good chance Diane will run into Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at some point now that she’s back from rehab.
Diane may think Nikki’s little stint was far too quick and worry that she’ll drag Jack down with her if she has a setback.
Across town, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will mull over Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) pitch to let Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) fill in for her at Marchetti.
Since Chelsea really needs to take a leave of absence and focus strictly on Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), there’s no denying that Sally could help her out here.
However, Chelsea may acknowledge Sally’s rocky history with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and wonder if this is something her boss will approve.
If Chelsea can get Summer on board, she might tell Adam that a job offer is headed Sally’s way.
Fortunately, there’s never been a better time to ask Summer since she’s finally coming around on Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
What Sally has done pales in comparison to Claire’s crimes, so things are sure to work out for Sally later during the week of May 27-31.
In the meantime, it looks like Summer will sit down with Claire and have that conversation they agreed to have.
Summer may admit she’s still nervous about Claire’s history, but she’ll be willing to put her fears aside since Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) is clearly happier when Claire is around.
After Summer got updates on Harrison freaking out over that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) lookalike, she saw first-hand how relaxed he was in Claire’s presence.
That’s reason enough for Summer to stand down and perhaps officially begin the trial nanny run.
Our predictions suggest Claire will vow not to let Summer down as they strike a deal on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, so stay tuned to see if she can keep her promise.
